Revo 100 1/4 times... Sorta... Lol

West, If you logged, send it over to me…something is wrong for sure.

This was the most useful post on Audizine after 2 pages of replies. It’s a normal person at the same track running an APR tune on their S4.

I can has 11?

I don’t think anyone is saying that you shld be running 11s. Just that 13-13.8 seems a little high for REVO’s 100 tune.

Logs are a good idea - I have to do some for my car as well.

Btw - I think you’ll find this forum much more informative than AZoo.

west… First thing you need to do is log your car! Sorry, no way that is a 100 tune trapping 107… Something isn’t right! Sac. is a NHRA strip, its equipment is up to snuff so take that off the table…

Your 60 is not horrible, not great but reasonable, then you slow down and run a pretty bad 330… slow shift? boost dump on stock tune? 1/8th mph is horrible… It gets worse from there… I have no doubt you are NOT making much boost on most of those passes… There is some feedback, say what you will it’s accurate…

Oh and welcome to the forum!

I need some feedback on what tire pressures to run front and rear. Tires are Pilot Super Sport. Also, what RPM are people launching at with 6MT?

It does seem like I got good launches and then fell off somewhere afterward. I did not reasonably expect to put down times near the E55 AMG with slicks, at 12.0.

Go log the below… Find a area you can go through at least 1,2,3… take each gear to redline… Hit turbo mode and also group by box… Let me know if you can’t find them and I’ll do screen shots…

Accelerator Position 16
Engine Speed 25
Timing Retard Cyl 1 216
Timing Retard Cyl 2 217
Ignition Angle 222
Mass Air Flow 345
Boost Pressure 360
Intake Air Temperature 556
Boost Control Valve 625
Boost specified 623

It’s not your tire pressure, it’s not the coefficient of anything, it’s not the timing equipment, it’s probably not even you… Log the above and send them to mustanggtron@yahoo.com Sad thing is your car on race gas is real close to that benz…

In all seriousness you can def get a good time out of the Revo tune, but IMO you’ll have more luck on pump gas. I’m at 38psi all around, i have never had a spinning issue, most of the time the issue is bogging. All wheel drive on street tires is the same as a RWD on slicks. We do not need slicks to launch hard. I can probably run the same time whether im on $300 Michelins or $120 Nankangs. I think if you nailed the launch and your car running good on pump you can get mid 12’s out of it since your on 91. A 12.4 shouldn’t be an issue.

Saki, Since I joined Audirevolution this is the 2nd time I have smote you, and I think everyone will agree with me that you deserved this one.

West - this was your first time at the dragstrip, right? I can see that also being a factor. While the DSG is basically foolproof, it would make sense that a manual car would take more than a few runs to get the technique nailed down.

?? ???

For jinxing it.

Rained out. We got dumped on, over 12" of snow at the mountain.

Damn that’s fast. DSG or manual? I don’t see it in his sig.

Nice job for Ryan. I’m sure that felt really righteous when he picked up that slip. He deserves it…

Yes indeed

Westwest focus on what the fastest guys are telling you. Ignore your instincts. I know that’s hard

Are you an engineer of some sort?

why righteous? Because he went to a certified track? I don’t think he cares that he wasn’t on this site’s list. And nobody doubted him really other than your post saying his results with cats don’t add up.

Anyway he’s still what… 2 tenths off his other run at the non certified track, but with the same mph? His time there at Byron makes a ton of sense. The other one seemed out of this world good. That persists today.
