Revo 100 1/4 times... Sorta... Lol

Based on some of his previous comments/posts, I would say he was on stock tune… Lol. 107 trap… Ouch!

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/534320-Sacramento-Raceway-1-4-mile-drags-on-REVO-100-octane-tune

How is that even possible to be that bad?

In his defense another b8 member here went to sac and ran some pretty strange times. Although it’s usually great da. Who was that again… Ran like mid thirteen or something.

Today mid afternoon wad 400 feet at sac when west was there.

Edit: the other car that ran poorly was Skidrowe. 13.1 @ 106 ironically…

“Car: '11 S4 6MT APR stage2v2 w/ pulley, APR exhaust, APR intake, APR CPS.
Gas/Tune: Both 91 octane
Weight: Driver 220,half tank of gas, tools and spare in the car and some other light stuff.”

I at least give him props for actually going to the track and sharing on the forums. Something was definitely wrong, though. Those are basically stock times.

Yeah, it really doesn’t make sense which is why I figured he was on stock tune mistakenly… However, given Skids time who knows… Granted he was on 91 but still a stage II car should trap much better ET aside… As the GIAC employee has pointed out in the post good times are possible there… Plus he is a big road racer so I am sure he can drive… lol

Besides the strip is for American cars only which can’t turn if you talk to MrFunk… lol What a joke! So then why are you reading and posting in a drag racing thread?

well_armed and ryan, did you guys go yesterday like you planned?

I was the other person with slow times at Sac. I’ve been somewhat afraid to go back with the stock clutch issues everyone is having since this is my daily driver. What kind of difference do you think dynamic vs. auto mode will make in the ET and trap? I’ve convinced myself that (and my 60’ times) was my biggest detractor. I’d be more motivated to go give it another shot if I had someone to go with.

-Skid

What was your 60’ time?

Basically the car as it sits will determine the mph, and your launch and how you shift will influence the et. Moderate launching and normal shifting won’t cut the 4-6 mph from your trap speed that you appear to be missing.

Guys i know why he didn’t run fast… Our cars aren’t as fast as we think they are with software and we need drag radials on all 4’s. I wish i would have known this before wasting my time at the track.

That and the damn “coefficient of friction”… LOL He needs to look at the other times and realize, either his tune is not peforming as it should or he sucks at driving… Probably both… Off to look for some drag radials so I can improve on my horrible 1.6x 60’s…

That’s always been the most infuriating thing about West. His posts are almost always entirely oblivious to all of the discussions on the forums. And it’s not like he’s a newcomer - I remember him posting on AW years ago.

Remember that thread he started about the milltek exhaust?? It was as if his was the first B8 S4 to ever have get an aftermarket exhaust. Lol. At this point, I find him moar annoying than giovanni0330. It’s getting ridiculous.

This.

Guy always comes off as condescending. Not sure if he’s just ignorant or a total ass but it’s getting very stale. I love that he isn’t even acknowledging the fact that there is a 1/4 sticky at the top of the forum.

I didn’t expect him to respond to that. Not to mention it includes the very timeslip he requested.

Someone posted here on ar that they quite liked westwest and wanted him to sign up here lol. Thank goodness he didn’t.

Watch your mouth, don’t jinx it.

First thread:

“My review of the new Stratmosphere intake”

This cracked me up…

[quote] Hilariously, the station attendant ran out and was screaming at me that I was pumping race gas into my car. I told him to calm down and that I knew what I was doing. I put in 13.77 gallons for $123.88 - the pump max is $100 so I had to swipe my credit card twice.

“I knew what I was doing…” So why hell would you 3/4 a tank into the car when you’re a few miles from the track? Maybe it was leaded as well…

Oh he was close and out in that much? 7

Thats funny. I thought he was like 90 miles away and wanted to have some left

He said the station was 15 minutes from the track. S4 tank is 17 gallons, right? So that means he was running over 3/4 a tank… at least…My bet is that he filled to full. He was probably running Revo 100 with a mix of 3/4 100 and 1/4 91.

He must have been on 91 tune. Bad as REVO 100 is, it’s not that slow. So interesting that the last two REVO 100 times posted are over a second and over 10 mph apart.

I read through the posts and I don’t see any actionable feedback. I’ll stick to my journal over on Audizine.

Saki you spoke to soon. Luckily he realized this forum has way too much knowledge and information and he will be heading back to Audizoo.
