Also Rochester has their own track I believe. There is a MTM supercharged RS4 there in town and I asked him if he had ever been to the strip, but I don’t think he was into it. He said he would…but didn’t.
Line of work…well in the Marine Corps I was an Advanced Aviation Comm/Nav Electrician. I got out in June and I currently work for Boeing as an Electronic Systems Retrofit and Repair Tech on the MV-22 Osprey, which basically involves installing engineering upgrades to the electrical system of the aircraft. The Rochester job is with Harris RF (a tactical communications company that has a pretty big stake in the military, especially Marine Special Operations) as an engineering technician. I currently have a BS in Electronics System Technologies, but my goal is to eventually become an electrical engineer, unfortunately there weren’t any schools for me down here to pursue that degree while I was in the military. Just excited for the opportunity and getting closer to our families.
I know there are a few decent tracks up there, my wife’s uncle builds hot rods for a living and use to go to a few of the tracks. I would be more excited to drive and meet up with you guys though, besides Ryan, I’m not sure I’ve seen another Audi at the strip down here.
Well Made it to the Track today VMP was open nothing like 95miles one way to get to track my normal track is 45 but it was worth it 12.51 @ 112.07 Now fastest mp90 car and Avant again Sorry Axel you gave me a goal
only had one 12.5 and 2 12.7 one at 112 and 109 http://www.streetfire.net/photo/img5466jpg_2058441.htm
interesting to watch the M90 cars hit that wall of sorts around 12.5 @ 112. They’re all (when driven well) within a tenth or an MPH of that for the mos part. Doesn’t matter if it’s an S4 or an RS4. Makes sense since the blower pushes more air than the engine on it’s own…and thus the blower then becomes the limitation on power production at about 700 CFM before losses (a.k.a. about 475 crank before losses, which are likely around 30-50 hp)
