After rebuilding my heads tackling a transmission rebuild doesn’t seem too overwhelming. I have no issues to speak of with the tranny “knock on wood” but I would also really like that 6th gear that bango mentioned.
that is George (white M3, formerly misano red RS4) and he had to do a bunch of work on his RS4 transmission
My RS4 had the same problem with third gear synchro. Chris from twins autoworks and I replaced third and fourth gear synchs and third gear. Car drove like a dream for 3000kms and then couldn’t shift into any gears ne night. We took it apart again and found the c clip on the input shaft had come out of its groove. We did not know that these were not reusable.
To keep a long story short i had to replace the synchs and gear for the second time because of a $5 clip

Just checked the db for rs4’s… Do we have updated info for some more of the customer cars that have run with the jhm kit? I saw discussion of 10.x times but none posted there.
That is because we teased it in our year in review video. We have not released any information in regards to those runs besides it being full interior etc… in that same video.
I haven’t added the JHM 10.7 or 10.9 yet, or marcusdubya’s 11.6@ 118.
Waiting for info from JHM.
