RS4 APR 1320

Hi Guys,

This would be my second post here and my official first proper post. My first post was accidental from tapatalk and Saki picked up on it in another thread. Anyway.

I’ve got a B7 RS4 with an APR 1320 on it, I hit the drag strip for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago and went back last week to have another go and try and beat the 1320 record which i believe is a 11.83 according to the list.

The car has a 1320 with a Loba Stage 1 clutch, full Milltek with 100 cell cats, K&N filter, 98 RON fuel and basically stock everything else.

I managed to do an 11.778 which I’m happy with considering that was my second time at the strip. The run was completed at Sydney Dragway (Australia).

Any questions, just ask.

Cheers,

Mike

That’s awesome! Best time ever for a TVSr1320 RS4 I believe so congratulations!

I will add you to the list. Please post up a couple of timeslips when you get a chance using image tags. If you need help with how to post an image, google [img]
tagging photo files on a forum. Photobucket works well, as does tapatalk (which we know you have)

Thanks, I was aiming for that but didn’t expect to beat it.

Here is the 11.778 slip.

1.53 60’. ??? Hmmm

does that work better? the image wasn’t showing for me

x2… What tires were you running?

Looks like you were neck and neck with the RS7 (or S7?) so the ET and trap seem legit but that 60’ would be almost a full .1 faster than anything we’ve seen on street tires. What were your other times from that day?

That’s pretty incredible if accurate. Sounds a little off. The car was also 4.8 at the 330 which is on pace for 11.5

Nice run!

Doesn’t seem like a 1.5 60’ though. Also sounds like clutch is slipping in 1st and 2nd also

It was an S7, and a tuned one from the looks of it

Congrats Mike,

Very good time! Did the S7 recently get tuned? It was stock not so long ago.

Dave

you have a TVSr1740 S5 4.2 right? Any chance of you taking it to the strip?

I would have loved to, but sold the car.

I can say however that there was a huge difference between the 1320 and 1740…

Its an S7.

The tires are actually cheap piece of crap that i picked up second hand from my tire place because my car was due for rego and the Michelin PS2 that I had were passed the wear limit and i’m looking for new wheels so I didn’t want to put new tires on these rims.

They are Acceieta PHI-R 255/35/19. I ran them at 25 PSI on the night.

Here are all four slips from the night.

The 1.5 60ft was a fluke more than anything I would say.

I don’t know how to fudge it or if you can for that matter, to get a better 60ft time.

The clutch was slipping off the line and also 1/2 change like you have picked up.

Yes, the S7 was recently tuned at BMR Autowerkes http://bmraw.com/ from what the guy was telling me.

The previous run (time 8:35pm) that i did was also against the same guy.

Very good runs man! Congrats

yes, about 420 cc of displacement. That’s quite considerable

the 1320 added about 120 hp over stock, but only about 50 hp over a well modded NA car. The 1740 adds another 75 hp over the 1320.

True,

I do think that the sweet spot was the 1320, the rest of the car could be left stock, with the 1740 there was always something to spend money on or replace, the car saw the workshop more than I did.

A 1320 car is just felt like a stock car, stock clutch, cats etc

Nice driving & thanks for sharing!

Here is an incar video from the S7, it is the 3rd run with a time stamp 8:35pm.
