RS4 DIYs on Video - Spark Plugs

Continuing on from the basic airbox removal video I made earlier (http://audirevolution.net/forum/index.php?topic=2234.0) I thought I’d do spark plugs next.

There are a boatload of spark plug DIYs with pictures available out there. But, like I mentioned with the last DIY, some people just learn better when there’s a video since you can actually see the parts being removed vs just pictures and arrows pointing at parts. I find there are always little nuances and technique that a more seasoned person may take for granted that a beginner may not realize.

+1 for the time and effort helping others.

  1. You wear nicer clothes while working on your car than I do to some of my casual Friday client meetings.
  2. Any time you’d like I will volunteer and do voiceovers on your vids. Not because you don’t have a nice tone or aren’t very clear, I had a hard time hearing the audio. Maybe it’s just me. Plus you know my voice lol.
  3. I hope your DIY videos get put in a collection/dedicated location of DIY’s on this site for future reference. I think they’re great.
  • karma. Way to help out the AR community, Mistro.

Thanks!

Thanks!

  1. haha I was wondering when someone would comment about that (it’s a winter jacket not a blazer btw lol).
It was a bit of a spur of the moment thing. It was one of those rare winter days in Jan or Feb when it finally warmed up to like -5 or something. I was just outside sorting my tools in the garage and realized this is the only chance I’ll get where I’m not going to freeze my hands pulling the coils off to swap a few plugs around for some troubleshooting. I figured I wouldn’t dirty up anything past my wrist doing something like spark plugs.

  2. That would be awesome, your voice is a hellofalot more suited for naration lol. I think this one ended up sounding worse than the last because of all the background noise (one of my neighbours was cutting up scrap metal or something). It also seems to sound way more muffled on laptop speakers than it did with headphones.

  3. I think God had added the last one to the RS4 DIY thread in the tech section

Not really sure what video to do next. I did a CC recently and started recording but gave up after taking the TB off. It was just taking too long doing both the (re)recording and figuring out how and what to do since it was my first time doing it.

I wasn’t wearing the same clothing.
