well…what forums are you referring to where it was easy-peasy? A5oc? PES had the S5 guys eating out of their hand after their first post in the S5 supercharger group buy thread. The guys were climbing over each other to buy PES kits. About half a dozen didn’t even wait for the group buy, they were so excited to get the PES garbage.

What did you expect them to do when you guys flashed a 600 hp dyno chart and some fab photos, knowing that even when warned, they funneled 10s of thousands of dollars at PES? lol.

Some of those A5oc guys would have bought a box full of sheep shit for their S5s if it was packaged in a shop with a lift and a shiny floor and came with a nice dyno chart. If you tried to tell them their box of sheep shit stunk, they’d cry that you were a sheep-shit hater and the rest of the guys would rally around the guy who got fleeced by the sheep shit seller and hug him and tell him he was great and his sheep shit was fantastic.

I have to back up and agree with all the NOT A BELIEVER guys. After the PES spill and VF fail. You just can’t by into the excitment. The MRC cars haven’t proved to be impressive in the past.

The fact they were included in your kit makes others back further away from it. We have seen this formula before.

Shinny dyno sheet. Great looking computer graph. Tons of videos only to have shit results. Its called the Tial turbo for the B5 guys and the PES/VF fail of the 4.2.

While you have taken your lumps you have gained some fans. Ill be honest I won’t by your kit due to price and no one local to me can support it. That along with the MRC tune.

The only other thing I would have to say if you really want to gain support. Try going to the gas station putting in standard pump fule making sure your not adding methonal or spraying methonal. Then go run the car. Run the car the way 99.8 percent of the people will.

That is what APR did. while a hail marry RACE fuel pass with tons of methonal is impressive. A run in street trim would also be nice

How do you know APR did their run on pump gas did you pour it. We can all pick holes. At the end of the day I have customers that have tried many combinations and then fitted my kit. It was their money and they didn’t get paid off. They are the people you should listen to not me or MRC. My conversion would soon die if these first guys who showed faith decided the product was shite.

Good point…but I know the guy who wrote the file for APR and it wouldn’t really benefit from running race gas on that file anyway. He didn’t write them a race gas file…and the blower is pretty much maxed out on pump anyway.

Further, an APR customer who is a member of this forum ran his car with the APR kit 11.8 @ 119 at the dragstrip near Detroit. I’ve driven that car…have seen it race (and CRUSH) a stage III B5 S4 2.7T car 5-6 pulls in a row, and of course the timeslip to back it all up.

As for your kit, again, there are a few steps to a supercharger kit winning ‘approval’.

Step 1 - choose a sufficient supercharger. Box checked…the rotrex 91 looks to be pretty badass.
Step 2 - choose a proper tuner. This is up in the air. I frankly haven’t seen much from MRC in the 4.2 game…so it’s a wild card.
Step 3 - prove that the kit works with real world, verified performance runs at the dragstrip and if you’re feeling frisky a 60-130 pull with the file sent to 6speedonline.

You’ve crushed VF and PES with your choice of blower. They lost before the kit was even on the car by choosing a supercharger that is maxed out at RS4 + full exhaust CFM levels. Silly.

You’ve chosen MRC to tune it and this may or may not be a good thing…again uncharted waters there for them.

All that’s left is the proof. But until then, we all know all the guys who bought PES M90 kits now think your kit is miles better. Frankly a JHM tune + full 2.75" catless exhaust ALONE is better than a PES blower.

p.s. djPESrs4 ran 11.9 @ 124.4…on a day when there was an ice delay at the strip lol…so I’m sure he’ll have lots more in the car. That’s the track where he ran 11.7 @ 122 with his M112 kit. Crazy weather for you guys. More snow than Canada!

I find it hard to believe that they’ll be able to overcome their legacy of epic failures in Audi 4.2 land. Although that looks like their M90 kit the guy is trying to arrange the group buy on. If I had known more about the vbox I would have sent files. But it was a borrowed unit and it was the first time I had used it. Didn’t even know the files were there. I did show pictures of the road through the front screen showing the Vbox. I thought that was enough, silly me!

Can’t remember if I posted this, but thought it was funny. The local A4 1.8t & 2.0t guys in Colorado bash the 4.2L all day because we are at altitude. All they have to go buy is that a Local RS4 with a supercharger only made 280 WHP. Granted the guy that owns the RS4 is awesome, he also has a Porsche cup car, an A4 2.0t modded out, and I believe added an R8 to his garage. He has a pleathora of awesome cars. Unfortunetly his RS4 does not run that great.

Yeah Weeder is a good guy. Think he owns a body shop / towing company. His cup car is sick. I think he has a PES S/C and it was featured in eurocar or some other mag. People gave him shit for having a sub box in the trunk etc. Silly stuff, maybe he’ll opt for other options in the future.

yeah, you put an SD card in it, and it records all the data. Then send that data to the 6speedonline guy and he’ll verify it and add you to their 60-130 mph list
