I am not asking ANY of Mario. Justincredible summed it up. He is dead to me. I have said this in other ways about 5 times. If he runs 13.44 @ 118 I will laugh. But if he runs 10.9 @ 128, I really won’t care because

a) I don’t trust anything from him
b) anyone can run something crazy with FI on an RS4…however that doesn’t mean we should applaud it

It’s basically like an AMD B5 S4. YAY! I ran a great 60-130 time and set a record!!! (but my car blew up 3 weeks later and is dead)

Your awsome fox boss engine swap that you are so proud of…has it run for more than 10,000 miles or so…and a couple of years? If so, that’s succesful and I’d say you accomplished something.

However if at the first track day, the engine exploded and caused a car fire, destroying both the chassis and the motor, I wouldn’t consider that any part of succesful. Sure cramming it in there was neat, but that’s hardly a ‘success’.

Further, if you were SELLING it for $30,000 (the swap kit) before even finishing it I’d really be reserving judgement on your character. If someone then showed me that you had lied about previous engine swaps, and scammed people out of 10s of thousands of dollars in the process, would I honestly give a flying fuck about anything you ever posted again?

I’d like to see a build thread for the boss engine swap.

I want to see it work. I know turbos have been talked about as an impossibility with the B7 RS4 forever. I know we have good options for s/c. I know I will not give this guy a $ of mine even if it does work. (and who would pay $30k for similar results that could be had for ~$15k?)

But I still want to see it work. I think it would be cool that someone has FINALLY done it - even if it’s a bit too late in the game.

So far, the dynos he posted don’t necessarily have to come from that car with those mods (it could a dyno plot from any car, or even just completely fabricated). The video he posted of the car running could have had the audio dubbed over it.

But, the track event this evening. There is talk of other members attending. If someone gets video of this car running the strip and posting 125 ish + mph, you know it’s a reality. That is exciting to me.

to be honest, it’s not that undoable

reality is that JHM did this on the B67 S4 6 years ago. They also looked at the RS4 and knew they could do it…but realised it was frankly a waste of time/money/energy, since you would be limited by the engine.

They evaluated it and came up with this. ‘We can do a GREAT supercharger setup for X money or a compromised turbo setup for 2X money.’

Easy decision. So they skipped it.

If anyone walks past JHM and APR and TTS, who are all around $11,000-19,000 for a SC kit that runs well into the 11s @ 125 mph or so…and pays these morons $30,000 for this turbo kit, they deserve everything they get.

It’s basically a GIGANTIC premium for a complete unknown and proven scammer, all so you can impress 21 year olds who love turbos on their tiny displacement cars. Fool’s errand.

The talking point is… yes we all see he is a fraud but we want to see if this works. And the others saying you want to see if someone who is dishonest can make a turbo kit work. Well he said they pes kit worked and it didn’t and he led a lot of people to loose tons of money.

JHM went 10.7@130 on their 5r clutch and they beat the life out of it

APR put 4 drag slicks on their car making 450 wtq, and launched it ten times in an hr. They went 10.60. They cut a 1.50 60’. And the JHM 5r held up just fine.

So if someone fucks up their JHM 5R clutch, it’s not because it’s weak. It’s probably because they’re a poor shifter.

Hell the stock clutch is supposed to be crap but I have 100 dragstrip launches on mine and easily that many more launches elsewhere. Oh and 75 000 miles of mostly city / town driving. Still strong.

Clutch life is directly related to driver technique. Slip it on launches and gear changes and you’ll fry anything prematurely. Most rs4 owners slop their clutch habitually. Poor technique. Quattrors4 aka scammer was doing that in the videos he posted.

He is running stage 1 supercharger times with a little bit more mph.

So like you said. The Jhm 5r. Worked on two 10.7 cars at over 130 mph but couldn’t handle his stage 1 like time of 11.7 @ 124 anyone dumb enough to believe that probably is hoping they can order the turbo kit that costs 3x… the cost of the other kits for the same performance.

It won’t be hard to guess what comes next. We have all been down this road. With the other dishonest company’s trying to cash in on the more money then brains section of rs4 owners.

Here is how it played out for the other kits that basically didn’t impress. It’s more boost by a lot. And don’t say anything. Tell the people it was the clutch. This isn’t the first time we have been here already.

And the last thing about the clutch. Didn’t he post all kinds of videos of him driving the car and now his clutch isn’t working…ahhhh sure again. It’s funny that clutch held up to faster cars but his much slower car can’t hold down the power lolz

I’ve understood this but IMO the math is a little fuzzy and to say that I support him by being a curious auto enthusiast/hobbyist is quite a stretch. I’m a big boy and I can sift through the BS to find the tid-bits that interest me. I don’t need anyone to play fact-goalie for me. Knowing his history, I will apply a little more scrutiny to what I see.

I’m not interesting in buying anything from the guy and I’m not posting positively on my blog or facebook page about it, attempting to garner new customers for him to scam. My passive interest is completely separate and has zero to do with how his project is going to end up.

I posted something to the effect of “looks like it’s moving pretty well”…(posted that HERE, not on AZ where the “live” thread is spinning out of control), for which my grilling commenced. I’m told to “quit posting about it”. So I guess people here don’t want to get involved in any technical talks or hear any opinions about anything, unless it’s completely negative and damning of the entire project. If you’re afraid talking about it like adults will give this guy the extra motivation he needs to finish the project - you’re giving the site and all of us too much credit. He’s going to do what he’s going to do. All you can do is what you’ve already done - raise the red flag for newcomers to learn the risk of dealing this this guy.

As for the turbo car, why did he post a slip of an 11.7 but how a video of an 11.8 if he only got one pass in? Did he run multiple times?

If that’s the case let’s look at his run

1.86 60’. Good for stock, just ok for turbo. But not hurting too bad. That is costing him a tenth or maybe 0.15. It’s a 1:1 ratio on these cars. The best he can go is likely around 1.70. So 0.16 better

The 1-2 2-3 and 3-4 sounded good. Not world class, but just fine. He’s losing at most another tenth there. And at most 1 mph

density altitude - it was 600 feet? Jhm ran in 0. Apr went in 0. So he’s missing around 1 or 2% power…HOWEVER he is running a turbo which is boosting over atmospheric and able to compensate so really that’s a wash. Any colder and he’d suffer from grip etc. anyway.

So the best this kit could have done would be around 11.6 @ 125

Very interesting. That means a couple of things…

  1. The tune sucks. It is leaving time on the table in driving dynamics. IE how it engages throttle, gets through gear changes etc. This is usually what people call JHM for help with(think APR1320 kit) or simply steal JHM code (use your imagination)

  2. Once again…where is the beit of going turbo charged?

Also his run is better than any dyno we could see. His trap of 124 on two different runs tells us that he is making LESS power than the JHM stage 2 cars, the APR1740 cars, and the AMVIVGMG test car.

Unfortunately nobody on az has broken his slip down (or is smart enough to) so this information will not see the light of day over there. They will all continue acting like the guy has overcome his past as a liar and a thief because he posted a slower ET with the $7000 basic JHM kit that went 11.6@118 in 2013 lol
