Opinions please. Has anyone done an APR tune on their RS5? I acknowledge all the ramifications of the warranty etc. The only other tuner I know of is SKN and that means shipping the ECU overseas. They, SKN, claim a 50HP gain, APR about 8? Regardless, any information would be appreciated.
I thought we covered this in your other thread. It would be completely irrational to go with the APR tune - you would get the b e n e f i t of likely no gain in acceleration with the cost of a blown warranty. Enjoy it stock, and wait to see if JHM gets in the game down the road.
Btw - have you been able to hit up the track yet?

Leave it as is…APR sucks at tuning NA anything especially the V8s
Keep it stock power for now. Far less aftermarket options on the RS5 vs the B8 S4.
There have been published reports of the results of the APR tune. APR is good a several cars I wouldn’t put the RS5 on one of those lists.
The performance primer general favors exhaust modifications. But the RS4 has a very solid exhaust stock so I would assume so does the RS5. For now sit and just break in the car. As many have said already Jhm is the tip company when it comes to the na v8. Just to help give you a little more info on Jhm incase you don’t know them. When APR had issues in the past with tuning they turned to Jhm for help. The results were huge improvements in performace in the software

Only if you clear car bra it. And only nano-ceramic tint.
