RS5 Center Center Muffler Delete, X Pipe?

I think it was 2500 and 300 convertibles

that is canada and US

mexico is on the rest of the world safety standards so their sales numbers are different/seperate

I wish Canada would abandon the US standard and adopt the world’s standard. That way MB, Audi and BM can sell all of their models here instead of the ones that make financial sense in america

in other words, we’d get RS6 and Rs4 wagons, as well as A4 avants, all kinds of diesel engines etc.

Apparently Mercedes is lobbying the Canadian government to adopt the ROW standard.

stock looks pretty good. Nice smoothe bends where possible. Really dances around a lot though (no choice due to space)

The stock Rs4 exhaust is MUCH straighter

Going off of memory, I think 1500 over 3 years? Not sure what the actual numbers are though.

And Skywagon knows how to post pics?

Nice!

(in jest)

I actually bumped his karma earlier for this.

Good stuff Sky. Karma bump for you.

Haha!

Yeah, I did too.

Feels good to give sky karma 8) I remember the “dark ages” when that wasn’t the case lol

Hey, it wasn’t easy!

Do we know anything about the diameter? Looks fat like 2.5

Yes sir, 2.5 inches. Got an e-mail from Fast Intentions concerning fitting an S5 V8 system to the RS5. The only way that will happen is if someone in southern CA takes their RS5 to their shop. I’m in NC so that leaves me out. Looks like I’m staying stock.

2.5 is not bad…the RS4 was 2.36 I believe.

You’re not leaving a ton on the table with 2.50. 2.75 would be nicer, but 2.50 for now means it’s not choking the car.

The cats are the killers. Would be nice to gut the pre-cats however the problem there is you probably can’t access them too easily to do so. Has anyone done ANYTHING with the RS5 in the 4 years it has been out? Seems like they just put 24" wheels on and slam them to the ground with suspension. Weird world that S5/RS5 world. Not a lot of performance focused people.

Nope. It’s more about the “look” with that crowd.

Something that I’ve been unhappy about… :\

Everything is relative I guess - I’m pretty happy with our crowd; I’m running a drop dead gorgeous car that makes darn close to 100hp/litre, naturally aspirated. Shit. No unhappiness here.

^^^sounds like you’re happy with what Audi created, not the crowd. He’s talking about the majority of the S5/RS5 owners…they are more show and not much go.

While the RS4 has been out the same period as the S5, there are ten fold the performance parts for the RS4…even though it’s limited production. The RS5 is unfortunately in that same slot as the S5 with the crowd not being too performance focused.

For perspective, when JHM bought a B6 S4 there was a big celebratory thread because the B67 S4 forum knew that this meant they were getting serious and were going to develop a plethora of go fast parts. THey sure did, transforming the B6 from the laughing stock of Audi S cars to a fantastic car to own with rock solid performance and incredible sound. The thread Jason@JHM started went up to around 30 pages before long with all of the updates and discussion and user experiences etc.

When they announced they bought an S5, nobody fucking noticed. Jason@JHM started a thread and it is on like page 2 and that’s 3 years later lol.

Exactly, Saki.

Since a lot of RS5 owners are more into “show”, there’s not much of a market for performance stuff.

I think Saki noted once that while we have a lot of B8 S4s, there are barely any 5s on the quarter mile list. Same with the local Audi Club track events. Hardly any 5s there too.

Must have something to do with the personalities these cars attract. A 4 door “sleeper” sedan that we can claim to be a grocery getter vs a coupe with tons of road presence and anything but a sleeper. I get almost daily mentions of my friends B8 S5 in the parking lot, but people barely notice my car.

I’ve seen maybe 20 people running avants at track events, but never an Audi coupe (well I guess one A5).

Could also be that the coupe guys who like to track get M3’s. The BMW track scene is much bigger, even BMW itself runs the performance center in SC, where you can drive their cars on a road course. For simply custom ordering a car from the factory.

RS5’s are also, what like 80k new? And only out for 3 MY’s in NA? Almost 10k more starting MSRP than M3’s?

same price as the M3 when equipped similarly . The M3 comes stripped.

I’ll happily join once I get the JHM clutch/flywheel lol
