Damn that really sucks. Good thing it happened under warranty. Sounds like AoA has been a pain in the ass. How long was he without the car? Probably shld be reimbursed for all that time without the car. Think I saw him post something to this effect.
AoA really seems to be taking care of its primer car owners. I’d like to know what happened to cause a motor failure on the RS5. You’ve got to appreciate the efforts the dealership put into making him happy. With two issues so close together you’d really hope the dealership would step up like they did.
I have been following along and from the engine picture that he posted in the first post then I can assume that a valve dropped.
Make sure Zmoron, FT and friends blame JHM for that one.
The guy posted the repair order for this:
[QUOTE=glycerine;9873450]Not sure if they touched the fuel pump. But here is the work they did…

It appears that his motor seized.
Strange that the ignition coils failed suddenly on the replacement block
Audi has always had problems with their ignition coils. The thread that he posted this in was about a new RS5 with 250 miles that had a ignition coil fail.

Wild stuff. Bone stock, less than 500 miles and really wonky things happening. There will always be anomalies but this one surprised me. Like Saki said the CP’s failing so early - then the injector leaking, although that could have been caused by the tech I suppose during R&R of parts during the long block swap. The initial engine failure and so on, all odd.
