New video folks, I’m sure this’ll apply to other sport diffs for the A5/S5, just make sure you’re using the right fluid for those differentials. The process is likely the same.
What about using the Redline D4 ATF for our diff’s I’m using it and it seems ok and i believe Audi now approve Esso LT71141.
I’ll have to look into that myself Steve as I have been using Redline D4 in my Cayenne’s transmission for years. I have been using Redline DCTF in my S5 DSG for 3 or 4 years and that is my fill in the new RS5 transmission. I’m also using Redline MT90 for the Rear Diff MTF fluid and Redline 75w85 in the rear (MTF) side of the transmission.
I looked at the certifications and could not find it for our differentials. It’s probably fine but I could not say that in the video without first hand knowledge from Redline. I’ll email them.
But this is what they list for D4. We need 055 515 A2.
VW/Audi Dexron® II
VW/Audi Dexron® III
VW/Audi Esso LT71141
VW/Audi G 052 025 A2
VW/Audi G 052 162 A1
VW/Audi G 052 162 A2
VW/Audi TL 52162
That would be great if you can guys as i was under the impression that the Esso LT71141 was ok to use.
A guy who I’m friends with owns his own transmission/ diff company and he services these diffs all the time and is using dealer diagnostic equipment connected directly to manufacture factory systems for all the latest info and he told me that Redline D4 ATF is ok to use he also told me he uses a Texaco veriant as well in these diffs ?
But it would be good to know from the company directly as people do read into these things wrong sometimes. I’m not saying his wrong but it would be good to know for sure !
Thanks @Ape_Factory and @hahnmgh63
