Ok guys this is a copy and paste from another site that I’m active on hope it works.
This is how to retrofit the RVC system into a D3 with MMI 2G that already has tv tuner fitted.
Before starting I recommend you do a full scan with vcds and save the log so you will have a fall back.
So far I have gathered most of the parts required and started assembly of the grip handle for the bootlid.

I had the new grip handle from Audi painted to the car colour as they were reasonable and charged £35 IIRC
Once you have it painted its worthwhile getting a tap and die set and cleaning all the bolts and threads because mine had overspray on them which made it difficult to get the screws in etc and you don’t want to snap a screw in a new part.

Next up the foam seal needs to be fitted to the camera if you have a new part, if you have boaught a second hand one and it has the seal on it already that skip along

The camera is fitted into the grip handle and secured with a plate and screw like so.

Next the boot release switch can be fitted into the grip handle and is secured using two torx screws.

Peel backing tape from foam seals and fit to grip handle.

Now were on to getting the grip handle removed from the car to fit the new one so you will want to remove the Toolbox, this is held in place by 5 phillips head screws that are under the caps pictured below that can be prised out using a small flat blade screwdriver or similar.

Now that you have that removed you will want to remove the light by gently levering it out on the edge nearest the grab handle.

Once you have the light out of the hole, remove it from the cable harness and poke the harness back into the Boot lid.

Now you need to remove the cover that goes over the latch mechanisim, just grab it firmly and pull it straight off.

Next up is the two grab handles, there is a flap covering two phillips screws that needs to be prised open, then remove the screws and the handle pulls out easily.

Now at this point I removed the cover without removing the Boot lid close switch as it looks like it could be easily damaged, so I carefully popped the clips on the cover and once it was released I disconnected the wiring from the switch leaving it in the cover.

The choice is yours! You can see in the following image the locations of the clips that need popping out.
I started at the bottom edge in the photo below with the two arrows by putting my fingers between the cover and Boot lid and pulling straight out.
All the clips should be popped perpendicular to the panel like the first two.

Now you have the cover off, you will need to disconnect the plugs from the number plate lights, boot release switch and remove the boot lock barrel.
I apologise for the lack of pictures as its a difficult area but once your in there its pretty obvious what needs doing.

When you have the various connections disconnected undo the securing nuts and remove the grip handle and fit the new one in the reverse order along with the number plate lights from your old grip.
You may find that the screws shear off when you try to get the number plate lights out like mine did, but as I had a new grip handle I just bought new screw in stainless from a local bolt supplier as Audi will only sell the screws with new lights.
Next up is the wiring install from the camera into the rear left boot compartment so remove the blanking grommets in the following pictures.

Now the real fun begins
You need to feed the cables through the cable duct shown here, this was offered up prior to feeding cable just to see how it fitted.

The cables are a mare to run through due to the connectors on them that i didn’t want to cut off the loom so I removed the tape from the Kufatec loom and split it open, and removed the plugs from the wires so they can be pushed through.
Starting with the coax, if you prise out the pink plastic locking clip you can remove the connector out of the plastic shroud

Then remove the blue contact carrier from the black plug housing and then remove the two power wires for the camera, you may wish to mark them some how like I did with a marker pen.

With the loom split open you then need to feed the cables Power & Video signal from the boot lid through the cable duct parts, I found it easier to remove the rubber bits from the tube and do it bit by bit.

Once you have the cables through clip the carrier back onto the boot lid hinge then feed through the body to the space where the outer light cluster sits.

You will need to remove the left side boot trim to gain access for fitting the rest so proceed with that.
Then route the cables through the grommit into the inside of the car like the following picture, this is easiest achieved by piercing a hole with a small screwdriver and pushing the cables through and sealing with some silicone

You will need to add the power connection to the fuse board in the left side of the boot, but before working on this disconnect the battery to prevent any shorts.
remove the power cable and unbolt the fuse board so you can access the back of it, once you have access slide the locking clip to allow fitting of the supply cable blade into the fuse board, now reassemble in reverse order but don’t fit the fuse yet.

Nows a good time to mount the RVC module, even though I ordered the mounting brackets for the module, I could not find anywhere that they would have fitted it so I mounted the module using heavy duty stick on velcro in this location.

With the module in situ start to connect the cables and the harness that you ran into the boot and reassembled, theres loads of spaces to cable tie the slack cables to existing looms to make it tidy.
The harness has an earth connection crimp and the most suitable place I found for it was here just above where I put the module

Next step is to tap into the can bus wiring with the twisted pair from the Kufatek harness.
Wires coming from RVC module Can Low T54b/39 and Can High T54b/40
Please note the Harness from Kufatek is not colour coded so you need to use a multimeter to check which wire is Can High and Low and mark them so you know when you splice into the cars Can bus.

On my install the most convenient location to splice in was the PDC unit sitting in the same compartment, on top of the Navigation Drive.

The wiring you want is the Can Low A7 (orange/Brown) And Can High A14 (Orange/Green) on Plug A (biggest one)

Once you have spliced the cables in, run the coax cables to the required places
Grey from camera to Grey connector on RVC module
Green from MMi unit removed from TV tuner and connected to provided green Coax
Brown from TV tuner to RVC module
Refer to Kuftec manual attached to bottom of the thread if your unclear.
Next up is either changing the Can Gateway or coding your one if you are lucky enough to have a compatible one.
I needed to fit a new one as my old one wasn’t suitable.
I fitted one of the following as I wanted the ability to retrofit Adaptive cruise control Part No SW: 4L0 910 468 A HW: 4E0 907 468 H
In order to get access, the glove box needs to be dropped so hopefully your battery is disconnected as mentioned earlier.
Reason for this some cars have a knee air bag for the passenger and you don’t want that going off in your face.
Follow the instruction in the PDF attached, I also found it easier to remove the door sill trim.

The coding to be done in the gateway is in the Kufatec pdf attached.
Once you have the Gateway in go ahead and reconnect the battery fit the fuse in for the RVC module and connect up vcds and clear any faults and do the coding mentioned in the kufatec pdf attached.
If its all gone to plan you should now have a working RVC, if component protection has kicked in then I’m sorry to say its a trip to the dealer to have it removed.
