We had a 800 meter top speed event this weekend.
Took on a R8. My trap speed according to them was 217.9 kmh. Vbox clocked me @ 181.3 kmh.

What mods does your car have? Stage 2 I assume? A stage 2 car should be able to put a small lead on a stock R8 4.2 both from a roll and from a dig.
He was stock. 4.2 V8.
I had 2 runs, 217.9 and 217.5.
Tyre press on 3 bar. Venue was at an Airport, no tarmac prep.
I’m Stage 2 running on 95 Ron fuel. He hit the traps at 212 kmh. He slept at the lights, not my fault ;D
Afterwards we had a chat. He’s got new respect for a familly saloon.
Fastest speed on the day was done by a Ford XR8 Twin Turbo. 275 kmh.
Couple of Supra’s hit 270.
Jag XFS hit 230 kmh
What impressed me most was a E63 AMG. 240 kmh - stock
E63 6.2 or 5.5bt?
What did the R8 do?
Merc was the S model. twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8
R8 ran 212 kmh
