S4 Wiring pinout for knock sensor.

I am a relatively new s4 owner. I purchased an 04 (early build) with 120k miles on it with some known issues related to the timing. I replaced the bank 2 adjuster, timing case, tensioner, all of the guides, and a few other maintenance issues. It was time consuming, but really, not that difficult of a job. The old girl has been rejuvenated.

Like all big projects, there has to be one or two hitches that prevent you from buttoning up everything smoothly. In my case, while removing the intake manifold to replace a vac hose, I ripped the wires clean out of the G61 knock sensor, on the harness side. It should be an easy fix, but I do not have the pinout diagram in my shop manual.

According to my manual the wiring should be as follows:

pin 1- ground
pin 2 - signal
pin 3 - shield

Pretty simple question, what color are each of those wires?

I want full power back, so any input would be great.

Welcome…

A few quick things. You can load pictures directly to tbe site… take pictures of the wires then I and others can confirm and help see what sensor it is and what colors are there. If I bave a picture I can just walk outside and look at my car for you amd tell you what it what…
