This is not a for sale ad, so I thought this is the best place to post it.
I was looking for cars a few months ago, and came across a black S5 at a local wreckers. It was listed as theft recovery, but looked pretty good from the pics. The one thing that immediately stood out was that it had the wrong wheels on it. Especially in the rear, the offset was WAY off.
I called them up, and if memory serves me correct, they were asking $21500 CAD. It has 177k kms on it (around 110k miles). If I could have used a two seater, I would have checked it out. I ended up passing because I needed a four door.
Just today I was browsing autotrader, and I see the car. I was wondering at first if it was the same car, until I saw the wheels which were a dead giveaway. They are asking $26500 now, and it doesnt look like they changed anything.
I wonder if I could have flipped it for a couple grand profit, if I had bought it. I need to get a dealers license so that I can jump on these deals without losing 13% tax.
