S6 Fog Lights - Questions

Recently purchased a 2008 Audi S6. I have some questions about the fog lights.

  1. Are the front fog lights the inner most light (closest to the center grill) inside of the head light housing?

  2. Or are the fog lights the 5 LED lights on the lower right and lower left side of the bumper?

  3. Where are the rear fog lights located? Are they the white lights in the tail light housings are are they the two lights above the license plate?

Is is a little confusing they way the lights are on the car and I am just trying to get some clarification. Thanks.

They are in the headlight for the front.

In the rear they are in the drivers side and red.

  1. Yes you are correct.
  2. those LEDs are your daytime running lights
  3. The rear fog lights are in your tail lights. I believe its just makes the rear running lights brighter. Turn them on and off and check for the differences.

Thanks for the help. The dash warning was telling me I had a DRL/side light out but both the 5-LED string of lights and the fog lights were working. It was driving me crazy as I could not figure out what the heck was wrong. Then I realized that the yellow corner light in the bumper is what had a burn light.

You can code that light out in Vag Com if you don’t like it. I did.

I am relatively new to VagCom so I was hoping to code it out but haven’t figured it out yet.

Do you have instructions on how to do that?

I’ll look at my coding at get back to you. I’ve forgotten how and can’t find the article that pointed it out
