I have been debating getting a personalized license plate, either serious or with a bit of humour. Interested to see the consensus votes…

I had DS6-52L on my previous.

I wanted one of the below but they were taken at the time:

BRBLE2 (I have a derivative of burble on the current daily)

My california plate says “S6 V10”

Not particularly witty or funny, but when I saw it wasn’t taken already I had to get it!

I see a mustang on the freeway almost every day, with plates that say “MPG HA”, I always chuckle a bit. Also saw one yesterday, “H8 TCKTS”

Some others I’ve thought about:

hilarious… i also only really get attention and oogly eyes from men… the nice exhaust sound and carbon fiber makes a difference with the ladies, but still mostly looks of anger for disturbing their day or them wondering how much of an asshole I am I guess… shrugs shoulders

Personally I think the 2 worst types of plates are

  1. The model /make of the car like ‘CLS550’ or something. What’s the point? There’s a bunch of fricking badges on it.
  2. The Tesla losers and their ‘no oil’ or whatever. Dummies. It should say ‘no oil but we’re destroying south America to make the batteries and using coal to recharge the car’

I have tried to think of a reason to get a personalized plate but never come up with one other than one friend who needed new plates but they don’t reprint your old ones so he bought a personalized version of his old plate because he had had it for 20 years.

I’m finalizing the purchase of a 2010 S6, and I thought I may as well customize the plates when registering it in TX. So I’m thinking of what to use, but would like some insight. I like the idea of having euro plates (but with the TX flag), and that also allows for more than 7 characters. Thus far, I’ve managed to have “Tread Lightly” as my license plate, which seems pretty damn awesome to me.

Thoughts?
