Saki I went against your advice...

I just ordered the JHM cat-less DPs and non-res cat-back… =P

I’m done with exhausts from this point on, that’s it!

I thought that I would be happy with the milltek sound over the resonated JHM, but another part of me is dieing inside knowing that I’m missing out on the full potential of my car that JHM offers.

I know I said in the past that I would be happier with sound and less performance, but I was wrong… I should’ve just purchased a non-res cat-back instead of going back to Milltek. Lesson learned.

So I’m sure the non-res version of the JHM exhaust will be more to my tastes and I’ll be more than happy… can’t wait!

Leason learned. Its like wwf wrestling the croud always love it when someome admits something the6 feel they did wronf…now get on the top rope and leg drop somw millteck ass

Haha I’m on it!

Is your emissions test just an OBD2 scan? I just couldn’t imagine running catless on a lux-touring car like the RS4. Assuming you use your RS4 on the street regularly, that is.

You wouls have to ask jhm or cv how they did it but its odd how its subtle and actually part throttle less drone then evwn the milltek but wot irs a momster

emissions test in NJ is a sniffer on the exhaust tip. Still under the dealers inspection sticker so haven’t had to worry about inspections until later this year… At that point I’ll just swap in my stock dps for the inspection.

the car is not a daily for me so in that sense I don’t feel guilty driving catless in the streets.

Nice. Please post some videos once its installed

So I just installed my stock downpipes so I can go get the car inspected for the first time (and to ship out the milltek catless DPs I just sold)… actually kind of pleasant getting out of the car and not smelling anything, forgot what that’s like lol.

I’m thinking of adding the Vbands to my JHM catless DPs just in case I ever get tired of smelling exhaust, JHM did a good job on thinking of that possibility.

First time replacing my own exhaust, it’s a pain in the ass doing it with the car on 4 jack stands… better than paying a shop $450.00 to do it… with those savings I went ahead and purchased the lightweight crank pulley. Not sure when I’ll install it, read somewhere installation requires you to loosen the front end to have room to work… not sure if that’s true. Maybe I’ll save it for the installation of a possible future JHM S/C.

I am going to install my jhm catback here soon. Need some snarl.

I also need an adapter to go 2.36 stock downpipes pipes to 2.75 jhm reso catback

I have catted jhm 2.75 downpipes but don’t want to trigger a cel just yet… As I don’t want to tune the car just yet due to the warranty. If my car starts eating oil here and I can snag a new engine in 2014 or something that would be an epic win. It would be an epic fail to have that happen with having voided my warranty however.

^ How soon is soon?

Depends on a couple of things.

Dave,

Go for the v-bands/cats/and test pipes. Think about it…much easier to swap out the cats for the test pipe if you want. No doubt cost some money but life is good go for it.

Nice to hear you swapped out the exhaust and saved some money on that.

Steve

Hey Steve,

Just confirmed the change with JHM. Agree it’s worth the extra money to have the easily interchangeable option. Can’t wait!

Awesome…I am sure you are going to like it.

Are you getting the tune too? They were going to give $50 off for that if you bought the exhaust.
