Saying hello (Pics Inside)

Na, I prefer irregadless. It would figure you’d be the grammar police though.

I mean c’mon, I’m just a good ole country boy, how much y’all expecting from me?

Thank you, you understand! It’s so important I felt the need to say “NO” to it Twice to help get my point across.

I’m surprised a B6 hooligan would pick up on this as education doesn’t seem to be a prized skill set in the “hooligan” society.

(it’s a running joke for me and friends b/c of people who use it and think it’s an actual word. So we make a point to use it in the right circumstance, hence the capitalization to make it obvious.)

Irregardless = double negative.

Can’t expect a B7 owner to know so it’s ok.

No, an owner of the gentleman’s S4 would know better…but mad has a 2005.5…so his car has lots of carryover B6 stuff (2006 is when the B7 proper started) so that’s what’s causing him to fuck up so bad.

^hahahah, best comment I’ve read in a while. Well played good sir.

Guess I’m like the guy that moved into the millionaire neighborhood but bought the house from a drug dealer’s foreclosure auction, that is with the 2005.5 obviously being the bastard year and my hooligan tendencies should probably have me in a B6. Oh well, the hooligans typically have more entertaining conversations.

Hells Yeah! Half year hooligans!!! ;D

Ya if talked to him off line on his bag setup!! his car has crazy stance… I dont know if i want to dump the money in bags or save it for the blower… im leaning towards the blower :)… and i do agree his trunk is amazing!!..

i been on your audio thread too and i think i have it book marked at the home computer… i have the same side mount box… I had a 12inch w7 when they first came out years ago… it pounds soooooo hard!! im assuming you 10’ w7 does the same :)… im leaning towards the 10’ w6 v2 should be good enough, hope it sounds as clean as the w7…

Sounds like the tastes are almost spot on man! i gutted the trunk and back lid and pulled the rear seat and layed down the edead when i did the suede and painted the trunk. Helped a lot with the exhaust drone.

Show vs Go, one side isn’t right, but it tears at most of us. I prefer the Go (slightly), but his car looks killer and I got to see it in person at SOWO last year.

Honestly, I think a W6 would be perfect in the Audi and with that box. If I didn’t already have a W7 I would have gone to the W6, especially with that box. In honesty, the W6 is a better acoustical sub, but I got a killer deal on the W7 and my amp at the time wouldn’t run a W6 but it would run the W7 (check that out before, they’re pretty picky, I learned the hard way and luckily was able to swap out). The airspace also fits the W6 better than the W7 with that box. Inverting it like I did was a dual benefit, added interior airspace as the driver is now removed, and also I liked the look & wanted to try something different. I often go too subtle for the amount of work/time/money/effort put into it, so I decided I’d go a little more all out on that one.

Yea after seeing Tom’s trunk, I’ve wanted to do it, I just haven’t built up the motivation yet. Maybe a project next winter depending on how things go. It does look killer though, but I do also use my trunk a ton, so I’d hate for it to get beat up or anything.

I can chime in on this one. I based a lot of my audio install off of maddog’s build, main difference being I used a 10w6.

I think it’s a pretty solid sub for our cars. Awesome sound quality, and more than enough bass output (IMO). Only thing left to do for me is use a side mount box as I just have a sealed square box tucked back by the rear seat

If your set on doing it i say don’t buy high end suede, and any time you put anything in the trunk just bag it up… you should be fine! the trunk would look amazing… but if you don’t go that route, spray that sucker black!!

ill take some pictures… let me go out to the parking lot now to take a quick shot…

^I’m a golfer, so frequently 1 if not 2 golf bags and shoes etc are in the trunk, or package deliveries. That in addition to just day to day activities etc; I don’t “live” in the car, but it get’s well used shall we say haha.

I’m a golfer too and I always have random junk in there… I tend to get a bit of sand in there from the summer time from the beach and the winter time… This keeps cleaning pretty easy…

Here are some quick shots…

As you can see the random shit… And it’s dirty from snow boots and ice melt… Quick vacuum and a damp wipe I’m golden… worst case scenario a quick spray and your done. looks awesome when its darker out the leds make everything pop…

ohh i also dyed the back of the seats too…

im glad the w6 is working out… did you disconnect the 8 inch in the deck? also what are you powering the w6 with… i have the jl 500/1

Yea I pulled the 8in and the plastic bracket for it right out, then I stuffed the upper deck with pillows lol. Cut back on a lot of bass rattles.

I used to have a 500/1 on it, then I sold it and used a diamondback 1200.1 I had laying around. 500/1 was perfect for it, but some guy offered me more money for it than I payed for the amp and sub together :stuck_out_tongue:

If the pillows work then why not! and that’s a score!! on the amp sale!! i picked my 500/1 on amazon used for cheap money…

im thinking of pulling the 8 in the deck and fitting a 6x9 back there… not sure what i want to do yet…

Haha for sure :stuck_out_tongue:

6x9 for what?? Usually 6x9 speakers are pretty crappy…

sorry man i don’t know why i said 6x9… i meant to say 6.5’s…The plan is jl audio evo c5 Component’s and they only offer 6.5’s, thought about adding 1 more set to the rear deck… just a random thought in my mind so far…

LOL that makes more sense. Your call man. I am personally just running components up front with nothing but the sub in the back. (removed the stock rear door speakers too).

I always ask people in the backseat if they like the rear speakers and they say yea they are really clear, hahahahaha. This is why I will never get rear speakers lmao. I’d save the money on those and put it towards sound deadening

x2. Rear speakers are just for fill, I’d rather dump that money into better sounding front speakers than caring about my rear passengers hearing the same thing I have and distorting my sound at the same time.

If u do go wit 6x9s walmart has a dope deal bro

slow day in the office

Coming from my c350 the multi-media package in there was perfect! just wish it had a little more bass… I’m trying to achieve the same quality in the S, so the fill to me is important… I’ve been a JL Audio fan for a long long time so i’ll stick with them, but i do agree with getting better components for the fronts but sticking with the JL Brand it gets pretty pricey.

On another note… you guys ever think of swapping the front center speaker… i did some research on it a few months ago and the size of the speaker that fits in there makes it pretty hard to a replacement… any thoughts or should i just say fuck that center speaker!
