"Screwed" up bad -anyone have an old HPFP for the 5.2?

Went to start the car yesterday after re-installation of the IM and everything. I stripped the bejesus out of this non-replaceable part and it is leaking nicely. Yes I am quite the mechanic… :-\

This is the drivers bank HPFP Fuel Pressure Release valve. I can not find a PN associated with this part as a replacement. It appears these are only sold with the HPFP and they do not cross mix with the 4.2 or the 2.0t which offer these as spares.

By chance anyone have an old 5.2 pump from scrap they can pull this part from?

Edit: Same exact “visually” part as this fellow here:

I’ll check tonight.

I have a spare A6 3.2L V6 pump, and I’ve got a S6 so I can see if its the same fitting. Part numbers for the pumps themselves are different (06E127025AB for the 3.2 vs 07L127026AD for the 5.2) but the injectors were the same.

i’m in canada, but maybe you can find something local? 3.2 is far more available.

Hey murphenur thanks for jumping in to try and help! Much appreciated. Actually the audi market here is so huge that there are literally 0 fsi cars at pick n pull. Only one audi salvage yard here in Reno with vag cars, and only (1) a6 3.2 is there, they sell the pumps with the engine.

I had a thought and called my parts guy at Audi Reno Tahoe. I am in pretty tight with my local audi dealer and they were able to kindly pull one off a scrapped 4.2 fsi out back that appears to be identical. Unless the internals are different with the spring rate or pressure relieve bar, I’d like to assume it will work perfectly.

Ill clean it up, install it and check fuel trims. Fingers crossed

Awesome. I was going to say. I think I might be able to convince a friend of ours to take one off his spare motor but obviously you’d need to find a replacement. That’s not just a standard homedepot part. as you already know.

It worked like a charm! Just fired it up, good to go
