A guy in my local audi chapter mentioned that he took his car in for service and they ended up having the car for a month due to a faulty cam adjuster and broken guide.

Is this something I should be worried about. Im out of warranty and I don’t want to get stuck with a 4000$ bill for stuff like that. Any other replorts on this.

It seems like this is the 5th or so stroy Ive heard. From the Rs4 stroy with the bad valve guide the few other S5 guys with bad adjusters and now this. Just heard about 1 other guy with a cracked guide, Should I be worried should I check this out?

I heard about this from a guy I bought my A4 from. Seems the S5’s are prone to cracking there guides. From what I was told the chain and guides on the RS4 are upgraded from what is on the S5

It seems this isn’t a total wide spread issue like it is on the other models but it is a issue. Where the S4s brake the S5s seem to crack but still hold up. Hold up for how long no one knows. With not a large amount of people really pushing the S5 power wise yet I don’t think we will see much till more people do.
