When I try the test which requires holding the RPMs above 2000, the throttle cuts as soon as I set the test “On”.
Why is that happening? Car is in Park, and I have the brake pedal depressed.
Thanks!
I haven’t done it in park, but I know in regular driving if you ride the brake (pedal down even slightly) for 2-3 seconds while pressing the accelerator the car cuts off all throttle response. I imagine this is a safeguard to keep you from accidentally riding your brakes into a fiery inferno.
Perhaps it does the same thing whether you are in drive or in park? Do you need the brake down for some reason? (note: I’ve never logged anything with VCDS so I may be way off base and you do need the pedal down for some reason)
Try turning the test on and then push the pedals.
Yes try getting the test going before you push the pedals Also make sure there are no ECU codes before you start the test.
