For sure i dont think I could keep up on two B5’s but as snowtrooper said if you had one that was just stock with small mods you shouldnt have to keep up on it except for normal maintenance
^^^there’s one around the corner from me daily driven by a 55 year old lady. Looks like it is new. I always think it’s funny when you consider the demographic that lusts after the B5 S4 vs. this woman.
It seems to me it was like that till about 5 years ago i mean the guy i bought my car from had all Audi service records, brought a carfax even though i didnt ask yet and was at least 50 lol. He told me he was in the market for a new S4 cause he loved his so much. He sold me thats for sure.
so after 10 videos from Sexican of him racing random ‘modded’ cars and him crushing them (but us not knowing if they are shit/fast/slow/etc), and him dodging the dragstrip for 6 months by claiming it rains every day in Washington (even though it’s always sunny and dry in his street racing videos), we finally have a video of him racing a stock car whose horsepower and performance we know. A 2nd generation CTS-V.
This is a 556hp car, but it weighs around 4250 lbs vs. his 3650 lb B5 S4. So power comparisons are useless. HOWEVER, we know the CTS-V sedans are good for 12.1-12.4 @ 117-118 MPH.
So since he’s putting 2-3 cars on the V in higher speeds, and not much at all at lower speeds, I’ll go out on a llimb and guess that from a dig with a good driver in the V who can launch it well, he would probably put 5 car lengths on the V in a race to the top of 4th gear.
In other words, I would guess he would probably run an 11.7-11.8 @ 121-123 MPH quarter mile. Now if only he would step up and produce a timeslip. Someone must be blackmailing him with nude photos to stop him from going.
ahhh…sorry, that went over my head! It’s a ridiculously awesome platform to modify for a reasonable amount of money, that’s for sure.
The best part is, you don’t end up in a car synonymous with douchebags. The cars are pretty cool, look awesome, and are understated as hell. I love the way a slightly lowered black B5 with clear corners and BBS wheels looks. Hard to beat. Throw on K04 turbos and a good tune…and you have a really incredible car.
Naah, he said he would definitely hit the strip this summer (that just ended).
Said he would go, then bailed. Like you.
Lots of guys have this Seinfeldesque “I choose not to run!” strategy when they want to preserve this mystique and not have the world know the truth about their car. Happens on every platform out there. It usually gets called out and dismissed on other platforms. However for some reason it gets coddled and protected in the B5 world with a warm, cocoon like womb of pussification by guys like you who call everyone “haters” whenever they wants to see real results (that were promised).

I just re-read the thread, and I didn’t see anywhere where “he said he would definitely hit the strip the summer” (maybe I missed it?). I did see a whole lot of Sexican saying basically what I just said though:

And similarly, I never said I would “definitely” hit the strip this summer (outside of FAW accepting my challenge, which he did not). I said I would like to hit the strip this summer, but, outside of FAW manning up to the challenge, it would be coming on my own timeline and may not even be this season (said almost verbatim by me previously, and I can post links to the quotes if you feel the need to keep lying with your synopses).
I said I come here mostly to giggle at the pretentiousness here, which is true. I’ll reserve the right to post what/where/when I want though, especially to pretentious posts that insinuate that there must be some ulterior motive for someone not getting to the drag strip, and posts where people act like it’s impossible that someone simply doesn’t care enough about the 1/4 or the potential wear and tear to get out to the drag strip.
This is not my personal view of the 1/4, and I personally intend to get out to the drag strip when I (on my own timeline) get my car in track shape, have time to go and can afford potentially having my car down for a few days. However, the view of someone simply not caring about the 1/4 and choosing to just enjoy their car on the road every day is a very valid one; one that is just as valid as being so obsessed with the 1/4 mi that that is the only that thing you talk about is. Personal views, and that’s what people do with their personal vehicles.
