Nice, I’ll probably be posting mine up soon. Just haven’t gotten around to cleaning it up and taking pics.
hell yes. Less than a week after trying to buy one cat-back, then looking at another I ended up scoring a deal locally (although the guy came up on the price twice)
hopefully I can get it installed tomorrow and probably hate myself since I’m also wanting to gut my pre-cats. I’m sure that’ll be a job that I start out thinking, “oh I’ll just do this while I’m in there, it wont be too hard”. Then halfway through I will hate myself for ever starting the job
tip or MT6? Tip downpipes are a nightmare but the manual are only a bad dream.
A shop locally quoted $300 to do MT6 piggies…so that’s a consideration if you can find a similar shop.
By piggies, I don’t mean the way JHM does them. I just mean remove downpipes, chop out precat, weld in stainless section, re-install downpipes.
JHM guts the precat leaving it looking OEM, moves the 2nd o2 sensor bungs, and then coats it in some kind of heat coating.
Coating huh?
Reading this thread makes me angry… again… at VAST.
I paid full price for “JHM PIGGIES” when all they did was gut my precats and never relocated bungs or coated anything.
fucking cunts.
Shame on me for trusting them back when their rep was still alright.
lol VAST. They knew they didn’t need to move your bungs because you were getting JHM tuned at the same time.
What’d you do with your old downpipes?
Bangoman has mine. JHM specials.
I kept the old ones in case i need them for emmisions.
Im not due until Nov 2013, and i dont plan on having to put them on to “pass” but im keeping them just in case.
So I got my cat-back on, and I did remove the DP’s and gut them and what a pain in the ass that was. Now I am getting the same leak from my IM i had before that is causing a squeal/whine. I swear the IM must be warped on that back right corner.
