Big time player. When I looked into this a year ago Audi and Google in Nevada were the only two with licenses.
The person I was talking to about it had met with Larry Paige from Google, who was ‘driving’ an automatic Prius. He said it was really creepy. They went golfing, and Paige just told the car where the course was, and off they went.
It seems like JHM has a very strong following in the Great White North. It would be cool to see a world map with all the JHM supercharger cars on it. My guess is that Canada may have the higherst number of JHM superchargers per person, when you factor in the size of the population.
But, maybe that is not fair, because Canada probably has a much higher number of Audi ownership per person than the US, due to the weather and AWD.
I personally just moved to an area where a house similar to my NC home is nearly 3x the price. So my disposable income is being hoarded for a larger down payment in an effort to not become “house poor.” Also, we plan to keep our NC home as a rental, but my credit union considers it a liability until we have tenants for 2 years so that also takes away from our approved amount. It works out perfect though in my mind…save for the next year and a half, then buy another place or possibly sell the NC house depending on the market…the other half is not so patient though.
I’ll still be setting aside some play money for a JHM full back/tune though.
damn…I thought the numbers were higher up here since we seem to have a lot of Canadians on AR. Or maybe the Canucks are just louder than everyone else. LOL
Credit unions are notoriously conservative. Try other banks? Some will take a rental contract instead.
Regarding disposable income… the psychology of it is interesting. I get anxious when I “dispose” of more than a few thousand $ in one check. The bigger the check, the greater the anxiety. 10 small checks… no problem. 1 big check… nightmares. Totally illogical.
As I prepared to buy the RS4, I had nightmares about losing my job and then getting huge unexpected bills. It was crazy, powerful stuff. Like I was eating psychedelic mushrooms every night at bedtime.
Yes they are, I know there are many options, but this plays into my plan favorably. My wife is just impatient, I want to wait…the bank sided with me…end of conversation, lol. Also, it’s an armed forces credit union so it’s way easier to deal with them when using a VA funded mortgage.
I don’t have any anxiety over large purchases, I know my wife did when we were at the closing for our first house.
I do on the other hand get obsessed over things and I feel like I absolutely NEED (something), then I just buy it but the excitement afterwards is short lived and almost turns to guilt. I completely obsessed over my RS4, but I’m happy with that purchase everytime I see the car.
omg that is fucking awesome!! im reminded of all those shitty ass hungover flights home. not to mention mile high club would be a piece of cake to achieve now.
