Damn. At least the mountain resorts are getting dumped here. The resort I go to got 17 inches of snow on Sunday. Was a really good day of snowboarding (poor visibility though).
Almost beat by Nolan, lucky there’s no Hasek too LOL.
It was the same in the Canada/finland game, you can practically smell the fear in the canadian executive hockey guys in the upstairs box, the panicked body language is hilarious. The entire country is watching, if they lost they’d hang and they know it.
My friend said it’s ok here to show the game in public schools instead of having class (wtf, at my kids school they wouldn’t dare). How’s that for your tax dollars at work
If you tried to stop something like an England football match being shown at schools, there’d be uproar at the PTA meetings lol. During the five nations it wasn’t if we’d watch the rugby it was whether we’d watch England or Wales lol.
Academy Awards this weekend. Any predictions? Think I’ve seen only one of the nominees for best picture: Captain Phillips. Thought it was way overrated and definitely too long.
I’ll throw my money on 12 Years A Slave taking the highest award.
Interesting that 2 months ago, GSP left the UFC because of their slack-as-hell drug testing laws…and Dana White said GSP is crazy.
Now, 2 months later, they’re finally forced to stop fighters using steroids (with a doctor’s note) and Vitor Belfort who was lined up for a title shot at 185 drops out 5 hours later because he’s riddled with TRT. The same fighter (Vitor Belfort) has been fighting exclusively on UFC events in Brazil the last couple of years, where no testosterone therapy ban exists. After winning 3 in a row on steroids, he is dropping out of a title shot because Nevada is not allowing testosterone therapy.
CABMMA in Brazil has regulated TRT therapeutic use exceptions in the past. Though they seemed more willing than other commissions to approve Belfort despite the steroid past.
