Depending on where you live the extra side wall is much more helpful in the winter pot hole months. If you don’t have to worry about that you can go with either.
275 35 R19 are the closest size to stock. Tire diameter is 0.3 inches more and width is 0.4 inches more. It won’t affect your speedometer very much either.
What type of tires are you looking for? Tire Rack has the Continental DWS 06’s all-seasons in either 265/35R19 or 275/35R19 for about $220 - $225. That is a great price and a really great tire.
^i sgoudl have got the conti tires. I have michelin A/S3+…they SUCK for balancing. i haver had 3/4 go out of round in a year of driving. Ridiculous. never seen something like this before. And they are hard as a brick.
I know it’s cheap tires but was looking at
Achilles atr sport 2. Heard good things for the money. Just dumped a ton into the car allready dont want to go another $1200
I’ve ran those on my car for 15,000miles no issues at all. I have 255/35/19 on 19x10 so a bit stretched, but won’t be going that way once they are worn out. I’ll go with 275/30/19. Also had the 275/30r20 and 255/35r20 before.
I’ve had Achilles ATR Sport on 3 cars now and have had zero complaints.
Running Kumho V12’s at the moment, I had em on the Genesis and it did well with em. Not so well on this car - not sure if it’s the weight difference or what, but didn’t get the mileage out of them I was expecting.
Discounttiredirect.com has some great prices on tires too. On my CLS550, I put Yokohama Advan Sport A/S on it and they are great. I run 285/30R19 rear and 255/35R19 in the front and the whole set was only like $840 or so. I imagine pricing would be about the same for the 275’s. But the Advans are pretty quiet and smooth and they balanced easy. They are quieter than the Pilot tires that Mercedes put on the car.
Was working on my car today to replace a headlight washer. I noticed that my car actually has 275/35R19’s on it. Pilot Sport AS 3+'s. I have noticed no issues.
problem I had with onlinetires.com is sometimes they don’t actually have them in stock. Then they call you and offer you another tire size or different tire at a higher price. Happened twice to me.
I have AS3+ and never had that issue. Are you in a super cold environment? I also had unlimited alignments with a franchised shop so I used to get mine done all the time (I used to get an alignment before every track/HPDE event).
