Should my oil look like this?

Took off the oil cap to add some dye to help find the source of my oil leaks and found this on the underside of my oil cap. The car’s not been driven much lately, and it’s been very cold, about 18 deg when I found this.

That would be condensation in the valve cover.

If the oil out of your pan looks like that you’re in trouble (check the dipstick)

But if it’s just the lid of the oil cap? that is fairly normal. I’m sure someone else can chime in.

Thanks, drained the oil yesterday, looks fine.
