So has AMDVIVAGMG decided what boost they're running? 10 PSI? 13? 14? 16?

The P3 discussion has been split and moved here: http://audirevolution.net/forum/index.php?topic=2578.0

So, is it accurate to say that his gauge might actually be reading from the OBD II port, if somehow AMD has fan dangled a way to poorly read boost? Coming from turbos analog boost meters always were more accurate and faster than any type of digital that was plugged in.

dude…

Hey…the thread split on me!!! I was confused, so…I doubled the post… ???

Any way I have 83 more posts until I can edit my mistakes!

and it appears you’re trying to make them all here and now lol

Lets just say things have gotten real interesting real quick over here after a certain video was put on you tube (and subsequently removed)

I think any direction with this ends with incompetence on AMD. The use of digital technology is for more accurate data not less. It’s hard to advertise you’re going to run over 15psi, have a customer show over 15psi and then say the gauge is wrong. Didn’t the same people that said the kit would run over 15psi also install the gauge?

To be honest…I have lost track of who’s who in that group, but am extremely disappointed in their apparent work ethic…

I think another important factor that we were concerned about was that they don’t use a bypass so boost is basically fixed. That really means boost levels can vary based on DA and the temperature.

But the comical thing is that they really have no clue what boost they are truly running like Saki pointed on in the first post of the topic.

Exactly, and that means absolutely zero concern with over boost effects on the engine…

FTFY

I would REALLY like to see tridoctor, DenRS4, MARCUS and DAN@JHM get together and do some pulls. Meem too.

Wonder if that will happen.

To be honest, Marcus I think your car will give the other 2 (AMD and APR) a handful. Your car went 11.6 @ 120. DenRS4 went 12.0 @ 115. You’ve got 5 MPH and 4 tenths on him. That’s huge. That’s about 30 WHP. As we saw, the AMD car put maybe 2 car lengths on him, and that was the best pull for AMD. Your car would put 2 lengths on him as well.

So if we deduce that your car is good for 30 more than Den, you’re sitting at probably 415 whp on the tough 034 dyno. That should be pretty close to tridoctor. He should beat you every time, making 16 PSI and on their big kit, but it would sure be fun to watch.

Then factor in that you guys had 91 octane, and the APR car of meem which made 452 whp on the 034 dyno on the pump tune did so with 100+ octane race gas in the tank. Put Cali 91 in there, and he’s probably around 430-435 whp.

Would be something to see.

Dan would rape you all

Well, luckily the car still has enough time (1 year countdown) for possible additions…I finally squeezed the trigger on the 2.75 exhaust, and con only watch videos to imagine the sound… Looking at adding dif and tranny mount which, if anything, will at least improve feel inside and possibly transition outside. Still very very torn on possible suspension…Got all the time… Maybe AMD can uhf*ck themselves and we can all be friends again… ::slight_smile:

Wait, what exhaust was on the car when it went 11.6? I need to get a second job for play money!
