Saki, Yeah I hear you, it should be one of the last few made… Late April/early May will be a perfect deliver as it should be fairly nice around here but still cool enough to get a decent baseline… Once summer hits than the times will suffer do to heat and a high DA but not much I can do about that…
They probably purposely under-promise and over-deliver on the delivery day estimates

What about the guy with a leased car that comes due for maturity in August, and times his new build delivery with that…only to find out that it is going to be moved up 10 weeks (happens) and he’ll have double the car payments, double the insurance, double the hassle, and one car without a garage spot.
Either way early or late, I think Audi get yelled at lol.

The Audi of North America people never stopped complaining about that! The Technical Field Managers especially since they put so many miles on the leases because they have to drive so far between dealerships to diagnosis issues.
I always found it odd that the AoA people had to lease an Audi. You mean I have to work for pennies on the dollar and then pay an expensive lease on top of it! No thanks.
Just heard from the dealer… Car is made and passed factory inspection on March 23rd… Scheduled to leave on the boat April 4th, with a estimated port arrival date of April 15th and an estimated dealer arrival the week of April 29th! Can’t wait…
so it takes about 10 days to get here on the boat? Seems slow but I guess it’s damn far. Wonder where they leave from.

They also list 4 days at port until release, probably a worst case scenario… Finally, they list 10 days from port release to delear delivery… I bet it won’t take that long but again probably conservative… At any rate I am probably looking at very late April/early May… Just about what I wanted from a timing standpoint…
Does the boat drop the car off at Halifax or sail down the St. Lawrence to Toronto? When I shipped all my stuff from the UK, I could track the boat and was surprised to see it came all the way to Toronto.
Which would make sense to get it to Ohio for you lol.

Delivery was the worst part of the wait when I ordered my car. I remember tracking the ship that was carrying it and then hounding my dealer as to why the car was stuck at port for so long.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing pics when this car finally arrives.
bango, Not positive but I believe the boat drops all of the east coast canadian cars off in Halifax and then goes down to all the US east coast ports but I am not positive… I’ll ask after April 4th what boat it’s on and see if I can track it…
Clochner, The S4 wait was worse and to be honest since the weather is still crappy hasn’t been bad… I have only driven my S4 once this year so far… I’m sure as April goes along I’ll get more anxious but it is what it is… Have resisted buying mods yet also which has been tough… LOL
