…and I was really debating if I can let the S4 go or not. I love my new F150, but the S4 looks so good, and it’s immaculate. I have it up for sale locally and haven’t even had 1 person lowball me. My wife took it out this weekend and when she got home she approached me and said…“I think we should keep the S4” but I would like $20k in my bank account rather than sitting in my garage. I would love a built motor supercharged S4, but like I’ve discussed before I think I would rather find a low mileage RS4 and go straight JHM supercharged as soon as I get it.

Sorry to babble, just debating my options…the Sequestration has also caused some concern with my job, so that plays into the plans…I guess on the bright side these are problems most people would be happy with (3 really nice vehicles in the driveway), so I promise I’m not bitching.

Thanks Jupiter…I have a decent setup for a car guy that likes to mess with everything. I’m a buy as I need it type of guy and I always find a reason for a tool, even if I use it once. I’ve already told the Mrs. our next house will have a 3 bay garage, with a 2 post lift…lol I’m sure she won’t care if her closet is big enough.

Garage looks great as do both cars. Rs4 is a cool option.

Buy one from jhm (they’re a car dealer) and work a once over and a supercharging into the deal.

Between us they will sell their kit for an rs4 for $8500… Installed. Don’t tell anyone else though :slight_smile:

Didn’t get the job in Rochester, they said they were waiting to hire for the position until after the new year, the. After the new year they told me they decided to close the position. I am actually waiting on a call back this week that may put me in Maryland, it’s a good oppurtunity so I’m hopeful.

JHM a car dealer…lol I halfway believe that. I wonder if they would be interested in making a trade-in deal for my S4 to a supercharged RS4. I’ll have to pull them in by mentioning it the fastest all motor B7 S4…lol

I will never get a B8…I’m not a huge fan of the way they sound, but they are impressive how quick they are. We have discussed though that they aren’t that impressive without race gas.

If the S4 goes…it will only be replaced by an RS4, but in the mean time I guess I will just attempt to get my 6,000lb truck in the 12s

Not a full time car dealer but it will help their business being a licensed dealer. For example blown or sick motor cars that nobody else wants to touch are like candy for them. Further they can buy cars for development (like the s5 they’re about to buy) and develop parts etc, then sell them.

Contact Jason or Dan and make them a pitch. Probably would be your s4 plus $20,000 for an 07 rs4 with some miles on it and a blower.

What is the time frame on JHM’s supercharger for the RS4. And I feel you on the whole sequestration, it will be an interesting coming month. At least my hours won’t be getting cut

Wait for an equal condition RS4 to your S4, then swap. Pretty much what I did with my B6 S4 to B8 S5; minus 60k miles :slight_smile:

I can feel your pain. I am in the process of purchasing an RS4 (Ibis white titanium package) now. I currently have a 05.5 supercharged S4 tip (alpine white) who’s tranny is taking a crap. It was put more money into that or go for broke. Going to sell the S4 but I’m yanking usable parts of the blower kit for the RS4.

Im saying in general not just b8. The 4.2 cars are such incredible machines, unless you have the money to go into rarified territory, not much is better

Are the parts for the kit that interchangeable? I’m assuming you mean JHM kit correct?

Yes, JHM kit for S4 is what he was referring to (see his post below from last year). I’m sure lots of the parts will be interchangeable…including the BIG part.

Yes, good memory Saki. It’s certainly the same head unit, which is major. But I am unsure of the other reusable parts of the kit. I’ve been holding out on getting an RS4, but this one was local and too perfect to pass on. Should be getting it tomorrow or Mon at the latest.

Congrats, there is an avus silver down the road from me with 130k on it for sale. It’s tempting but not that tempting lol. Then again I’m sure it’s probably beat on way less then some others.
