Wait for an equal condition RS4 to your S4, then swap. Pretty much what I did with my B6 S4 to B8 S5; minus 60k miles :slight_smile:

I can feel your pain. I am in the process of purchasing an RS4 (Ibis white titanium package) now. I currently have a 05.5 supercharged S4 tip (alpine white) who’s tranny is taking a crap. It was put more money into that or go for broke. Going to sell the S4 but I’m yanking usable parts of the blower kit for the RS4.

Im saying in general not just b8. The 4.2 cars are such incredible machines, unless you have the money to go into rarified territory, not much is better

Are the parts for the kit that interchangeable? I’m assuming you mean JHM kit correct?

Yes, JHM kit for S4 is what he was referring to (see his post below from last year). I’m sure lots of the parts will be interchangeable…including the BIG part.

Yes, good memory Saki. It’s certainly the same head unit, which is major. But I am unsure of the other reusable parts of the kit. I’ve been holding out on getting an RS4, but this one was local and too perfect to pass on. Should be getting it tomorrow or Mon at the latest.

Congrats, there is an avus silver down the road from me with 130k on it for sale. It’s tempting but not that tempting lol. Then again I’m sure it’s probably beat on way less then some others.

I was about to spend a small fortune on my B6 S4 to get more horses all in an effort to basically get a B6 RS so I just went RS4 and couldn’t be happier! It’s a better platform to begin modding off and really not that much more if u consider modding costs!

I already have my next car lined up but I have to wait two to three more years for it to depreciate to a reasonable price. Plus I will be doing all the maintance on it too.

Speaking of, the road and track road test of a stock rs5 shows 12.2 @ 112

So they’ve picked up 4 mph and 4 tenths on the best ever r&t rs4 test. That’s pretty amazing. So much for ‘same engine equals fail’

RS5 with every option but ceramic front brakes. It is black on black with TI package so the huge grill and mirrors are black too. I like the grill but the mirrors should be either silver or carbon fiber which is an easy mod. Too bad somebody keyed it already though it should be fixed soon. Other than sad damaged pictures and stories in thread there are some pretty good Lolz responses usually by Mops.

I always wanted a RS4 but it is a little late now to get one. The RS cars tend drop down to the forties and stay there after a few years and some miles.

^^^you’re right, it is hard to buy an RS4 now. You’re going to be third or fourth owner likely unless you get lucky.
