Could be. But frankly, who cares. Only one fast car has ever come out of there and it blew 3 motors trying to get anywhere. It ran for about 3 months in 3 years, trying to put him on the map. All it accomplished was show that they need to kill your car to be fast. Sounds great lol.
They haven’t a clue what they’re doing, and outsource tuning generally. Even then they choose companies that are clueless like epl.
Amd is not a tuning shop. They’re a small, one employee, single lift mechanic who install other companies’ parts, often unsuccessfully as his three most well known and outspoken customers all had their cars blown up and all abandoned their builds.

If I were betting on it, he’s 100% just selling the EPL tune in this case.
I was going to suggest the same, although like you’ve mentioned in the past…it isn’t rocket science to make the B8 faster. Now I’m not saying fastest or even competitive with the top tuners in the game, but faster than stock and fast enough to make a customer without a brain happy.
So Jason’t tuning skills must not be working? lol I saw this Mike Tsao(AMD employee?) posted some dyno runs they did over the weekend and it was a Revo tune and Revo DSG tune… LOL
Pretty sure he is using REVO for the B8 S4 cars. He posted on FB that they are now a revo dealer, and their new web page shows this also.
Makes you further question EPL and their ability if they lost that guy as a dealer. I wouldn’t send AMD any business as he or they’ve proven completely that their children and incapable of doing anything but crying about their issues. Yawn.
I thought epl sent a lot of their work over to UM? Doesn’t amd work with UM? So in essence they all still do business together?
I don’t think we can trust anything any of these companies says. They’ve all proven to be full of it. I don’t understand why a tuning company would send tuning to another company.
The way it looks to me, is AMD is using each tuner they think has the better tunes for certain platforms.

AMD used EPL for all their B5 S4 stuff (that was literally all AMD did was B5 S4). And by B5 stuff, I mean they assembled tial etc parts on B5 S4s…with their 4 main customers (dshot, killerS4 burningcoals tweets4estate) all blowing their motors and abandoning the platform.
Seeing the death of their B5 business, then they tried to make a supercharger for the b7 RS4, a car they trolled the fuck out of for years, and again EPL tuned it. Only problem was they were using a 700 hp capable supercharger…and then ran similar 1/4 mile times to the fastest JHM tuned NATURALLY ASPIRATED RS4s (low 12s). They tried to hide those times from the marketplace, but fortunately we exposed it on this site.
They then fired EPL and last minute, switched to united for the RS4 kit, and sold it to the public after 2 weeks of testing. They claimed the kit made 13.5 PSI…but one of their customers posted a video showing a boost gauge hitting 16.4 PSI at one point lol
they also appear to have fired EPL for the B5 S4 stuff
now they’re a REVO dealer…comfortably the worst choice of the big 3 B8 S4 options out there (behind APR and GIAC who are neck and neck)

lol is your name Jason? REVO is fucking terrible on the B8 S4 compared to GIAC and APR. United Motorsports is a complete fucking NOBODY in the entire Audi spectrum. Show me ANYWHERE that those 2 are ‘best in class’ for these platforms. In fact, show me that United Motor has even seen a B7 RS4 before last spring when they were brought in as an emergency to tune one.

the 4.2 RS4 is clearly dominated by JHM from tunes to exhaust to dozens of custom parts created. AMD wouldn’t have a chance in hell of having JHM help them with the 4.2 RS4. So they went with another company…not GIAC, who are known to sub-tune for other people’s kits. Not anyone else. No, they went to United Motorsport…a boost happy VW turbo car tuner lol…who have never done a thing in the 4.2 world, ever.
the B8 S4 is again clearly dominated by APR with GIAC a close second as far as development and marketshare goes…not to mention they have the best performance across the board. Yet you think REVO was the top choice in the B8 space? Come on…be serious.
Whoa big guy, settle down. I have no idea why they chose whomever they did for what ever reason, nor did I anywhere say Revo was the best choice (they made the choice), hell they don’t even respond to email about coilover setup i enquired months ago about. I just thought of why they might have chosen each tuner, based on how, if I was in their shoes I would choose a product for my company to offer.
The real truth is all of these companies start out somewhere small some continue to grow some don’t. APR used to be this small operation just like JHM and they grew to where they are now whatever that entity maybe. They used to be conservative in their tunes for the B5 and they stopped developing after their stage 3 you know their weak sauce tunes as well as I do in that time frame of the B5, it seems as they also stop developing unless someone else comes in and shows something better than what they have done. I think the competition is good for all of us in the market place.
Why would you chose the 3rd best tuner if you were going to offer customers software?

I think some one didn’t read what I wrote, and jumped to conclusions that weren’t presented anywhere in my original statement. I’m not new to any of Audi tuning, i’m just new on this board, you can search my SN on other forums and you’ll see I have been around for a while. I’ve had no less than 4 Audi’s on different engines, platforms and different tunes.
