No front plate eh? Alberta or Saskatchewan?
With those Haka 7’s, that will be a perfect ski trip rocket.

Alberta car?
Actually, I’m guessing Quebec… “the friendly of Alex” is a bit of a blue flag

I love the nokians. I was so disappointed to learn they made 19s that would fit my rs4 AFTER I had just spent $1500 for PA Michelins.

Very nice. I’m a sucker for Avants

im a sucker for no front plate. id kill to be able to take mine off.

Over in SK! Car is originally from out east and then I picked it up in Calgary. Motor only has ~60k, insurance claim due to a ‘puddle’. Has a few little things to sort out (NOTHING electrical)… but looks to be a good deal.

Can’t wait to see the tire performance, practically stole a barely used set for $700.

Looks like JHM’s brake sale will lead to some bbk purchases ^.^

Tip is weird to get used to but it’s certainly not that bad.

no front plate ftw 8)

lets just hope that “puddle” wasn’t lake Athabasca lol.

Hahaha

Welcome to the Avant club!

By the way, there’s a JHM Stage 2 Avant in your province. I don’t remember if he’s in Calgary or Edmonton. You should reach out to him to check it out. (handle is Frink on Audizine, not sure if he’s on this forum).

Or a 2013 “puddle” event in Calgary

true. I had some experience with a couple of Katrina cars, they were GM but I don’t think it matters, once u soke the interior and electronics the car will never be right again and always have gremlins.

OP for your sake I hope it was just a puddle but if it wasn’t I would recommend stripping the interior and let everything dry out as best u can. WD40 will be your best friend.

Great list of mods. If you can make one of the Detroit track meets you might be able to get in on the tip tune. I have it and it really makes the car feel more confident.

Found Frink’s build! Pretty bloody clean! I know the local shop did a JHM S/C for a guy in Edmonton, but it looks like Frink had his done by JHM.

Fortunately the puddle was ~60k ago, so I think any major kinks would be obvious through a thorough inspection.

I am VERY interested in the TCU tune, enough that I would make the trek down and back. I should probably be bugging CV about that hey? Is there a plan to coordinate multiple tunes at the same time?

Justin, can you describe what changes through the tune?

I would imagine it would affect both normal driving mode and S mode?

Right now I am debating between the FI downpipes and the Piggies through JHM.

I am assuming I will have a quieter volume with the piggies? My plan is to weld electric cutouts into the catback as my previous B6 sounded absolutely Gnarly without the muffler in the way.

Any idea on what would change?

Great looking Avant! What year B7 is that? Love the color and am obviously very jealous of the the no front plate as well.

I didnt know you could fit 20’s… more pics from side view would be great.

Curious why you seem to want a BBK so bad… just looks or you plan to track? Otherwise i cant really see the need.

Take the money from the BBK kit and put it into JHM long tube headers!

Thanks Dsgray! Yup, 2007. I can certainly say there is a better fit and finish to the B7 gen. Down to the little things like signal stock and window switches.

When I first fit the 20’s on I was skeptical that they would fit! The 255’s do rub on the fender liner when I hit bigger bumps or when loaded down. But just fender liner.

Don’t worry about pictures, there will be more to come!

I actually just dropped a good chunk of coin with JHM yesterday. Dru spent some time and prodded me to clean out the wishlist. So you’ll be seeing a F/R BBK among other things soon.

Reason for the BBK? I don’t track the car, but going off of the previous S4 with rotors/pads, I felt like I could use a bit more stopping power and confidence. Obviously the MAIN benefit is the weight + less fade. Bling factor is nice as well… but mostly because I rip around town at a pretty good clip.

I’ll be looking at the headers when the S/C money comes into play. If i get around to that!

By BBK, are you talking about bigger capilers as well? Or just JHM’s bigger rotors?

Got the cayenne kit with the Lw rotors and the rear adaptor Kit for their larger lw rotors as well.

Should be a happy medium between the Stoptechs you have Axel and stock brakes. I have your mod list stuck on my PC, slowly ticking the boxes off haha

Oh look… A wild mfsw appears.
