Some Guy's Mediocre S4 Build Thread

Hey, we have SAI block of plates if you are interested…

Oh really? I’ll pm you about them. I’m always down to do DIY ones though

I am getting the pricing right now, as we are getting ready to release them.

The DIY was is cool, but unless it is done right it can cause issues down the road.

Can’t wait to see what they look like! Thanks for letting me know you had them  You guys gonna include them with your supercharger kit in the future?

This! lol you can’t be using JBweld.

If you’ve got the original flanges all we have to do is grind off the tube, and use some scrap to weld over it.

We have laser cut pieces ;D

Laser beams you say?

Well I can’t compete. Best I can do is shine a laser pointed on it and make cutting noises.

I’ll take your sound effects any day man

Nice jake. That’s good to know.

Pwest15… getting rid of the Sai will make it cleaner in there. It’s not a huge difference but it’s a great thing to toss out. You can also pull the big ass pump out by the passenger fender.

I have plans to put something where that pump is too! Not a supercharger though :frowning:

silver and that wheel colour looks great. So does the imola car. Good stuff. Rolling shots always look great when done well.

Went back and looked again. Very nice pictures.

Air ride…

Thanks for the compliments on the photos you guys!

Anyways, Martin and Jace came over for a little while on Saturday so we could start the timing job. Unfortunately we didn’t get too far because I don’t own a 15/16 wrench to hold the end of the cam while trying to break the cam adjuster bolt free. We did remove the PTO and chain as well as the tensioners and guides for both banks. It’s really just a matter of breaking the cam adjuster bolts now and then I can move on.

Also, does everyone think this crank lock pin is in all the way?

Anyways, we had to cut short work on Saturday night and I wasn’t able to wrench on the car at all yesterday because I really had to sort out some personal problems but I should be back on track now.

Did you and josh work on it at all? I need to find you that wrench that Jace had

No like I said, I had to spend yesterday taking care of some personal issues. If you can find me that wrench, that’d be sweet. Jace sent me a pic of it yesterday. I can always go buy one from the hardware store too

Oh I thought that was saturday or friday whenever I was there. I’ll try to find it and drop it off today, First day in months that I don’t have to work more than 12 hours, just 8.5 hours, its almost like I’m a regular worker now!

Hey that’s awesome! Text me when you’re stopping by because I might want to go over to the powdercoater to see just wtf is going on with my order

I think I have a 15/16" wrench you can have if you can’t find your’s.

Thanks man, Martin was able to drop it off though.

Got the mechanical adjusters off as well as their chains. Then I replaced the guides and tensioner on the main drive chain.

Does anyone know what these two o-rings and one seal go to by any chance? I have no ideas

The double one is the oil filter housing I’m pretty sure
