Has anyone run into this before? My EPC light comes on sporatically in only the cold weather. When it happens if you turn off and restart the car it goes away. Sometimes it takes two restarts. If 2 or more are needed I get a CEL for a bit. When the light comes on i get 0 throttle resonse. Ideas?

I have searched if anyone was wondering. Couldn’t find anyone with the EPC light on start-up only going into limp mode while driving.

Not sure if its the same but my mk4 gti does the same thing. It is the brake switch

Possibly the TPS on your throttle body…pop off your intake and take a quick look to see if it looks clean. No experience with that code, but lots of experience with the EPC for other reasons.
Its at the shop atm. Took it to a dealer for diagnosis and they said it was the ecm. Shop says it looks like the throttle body. They tried doing an adaptation while having the code and it wouldn’t accept it. So I’ve been leaning in that direction.
That’s an interesting one because if your brake switch failed “on”, with most audis you’d have no throttle allowed. Helluva way to get stranded…
Apex, prime posted some TB pics with his split open, look in the USP intake thread here. There’s a few things I guess that could go bad in there but I’ve never heard of one actually going bad though.
Took a look at the thread and your right, there isnt much to break in there. What would happen if someone move the flap manually with the car off?
