It still adjusts the side bolsters on the seats if you have that turned on in the setting menu.
I don’t notice any difference with the throttle and I don’t think the S button changes the suspension as the DRC is mechanically controlled.
I also don’t believe it effects the traction control either.
The S mode button will make the throttle slightly more aggressive. It will also still function everything that was functioned while stock (exhaust flap, bolsters).
Haha, in nice neighborhoods if people can’t complain about your car exhaust they will find something else…they will complain that your mailbox is the wrong color or you took your Christmas lights down after the New Year, when you should have had them down the day after…or the wreath on your door is too big.
Life is too short to worry about snobby neighbors.
This is exactly what I asked APR to develop in their 4.0T tune and pending exhaust option.
Give me full control over the flappys so I can push button quiet the car when cruising around my town or on date night. Nobody wants to put a $3K soundtrack on this (C7 S6) car that you can never turn off…
My friends house is an older age part of town, I feel terrible leaving his place late at night or super in early in the morning, specially knowing his neighbors are 80-85+.
At my place I lucked out, we got so many car guys in the neighborhood that it’s almost the running joke on whose car is louder. lol
Not long after I had mine I got a tune off an English company (not MRC) and I asked about the cold start thing and they said it cant be done.
After changing to the JHM tune about 4 weeks later as the other tune was rubbish the cold start is quiet in comparison.
No Superchips, which turned out to be not so super.
Made no difference to how the car felt when driving. Cold idle was really bad for the first 1min or so. Wouldn’t idle properly and I had to hold the throttle down a little so it idled at around 1700rpm for a min or so.
This made it very loud, more so at 6am in the morning before going to work >:(
It was there stg 2 tune as I did the pre cats the day before.
So I payed $1k for the cel light to stay off but got no noticeable power increase or throttle change and a rubbish cold start idle.
Changed to the jhm tune 4 weeks later and the difference was like chalk and cheese. Worked out the same same cost but I also have the cable now so will be cheaper for any other flashes I get from them.
