SSP 617 RS5 & RS4 interesting read

Didn’t know this SSP was out there until recently. Found it and downloaded it. This portion below I found interesting about the DSG fluid change interval. Maybe our change intervals Audi has more recently posted, at least in N. America are too few and far between. That would jive with their stupid 10k mile engine oil changes. Every Oil analysis you will find online will show no oil lasts well up to 10k miles. The SSP 617 is for the RS5/RS4 B8 but for more information on the 0B5 it also says to see SSP 429 which is for the Q5, and that one has a lot more DSG info.
“The 0B5 gearbox on both RS models has to transmit up to 331 kW
of engine power. If this power is demanded, the MTF1) can become
very hot.
The MTF contains special additives in order to withstand
the stresses on the oil. These additives degrade at high temperatures
and the oil loses its essential properties. This is why the MTF
must be changed after it has been subjected to correspondingly
high thermal loads, in order to avoid excessive wear or damage to
the gearbox.
To determine the thermal load on the MTF, the 0B5 gearbox in
RS models has an MTF temperature monitoring function.
In the case of the Audi RS 5 and Audi RS 4 Avant, the MTF
currently has a general change interval of 30,000 km2).
By comparison: The ATF must be changed every 60,000 km2). If the
MTF temperature monitoring function determines a high thermal
load on the MTF, the event memory entry “P0897 gear oil deterioration”
is generated. In this case, it is necessary to change the MTF
even if the vehicle has covered less than 30,000 km since the last
MTF change.”
