I’m sure he’ll pop in here at some point, but it looks like richi is getting rid of his car for a S6. Bummer as he was probably the best hope in terms of realistically seeing where the stage 3 kit is right now.
yea I was getting there lol. Yea it was a deal I couldn’t pass up, I’m able to get into my s6 for less than I’m currently paying on my s4 so it was a no brainer so I jumped on the opportunity. it has nothing to do with the stage 3 kit I just wanted more car, more comfort and something new as I’ve been in an a4 platform car for 12 years now.
I am happy with where the stage 3 is currently and I’m sure with the new pulley, it will rip hard.
Like I said on the other post, I understand the upgrade, and can’t blame you there. Good luck with the S6.
S6 is an awesome upgrade. I think they’re very under-rated. We need to talk about them more.
p.s. we’ve already seen what a stage 3 ripping hard means. Basically same as stage 2 with 2 pulleys. The stage 3 kit is dead, thanks to some of the efforts to expose this thing. You’re lucky you paid a discounted price. I feel bad for the guys who paid $10-12,000 for this thing when they could have just spent $4,500 for 95% of the gains.

Sounds like a nice combo. I’d like to see what the design package looks like. I’ve yet to see any real pics of it. Any plans for the car? I’m sure you won’t leave it alone… RS7 turbos? Haha.

Richib86 you have been great for the community with every platform you have been in so it will be great to see you back with the S6 it will be exciting to see what you do there. Please come back and post and show us what you have in store for that car.
I think even though I dont have a b8 s4 I would like to say thanks. You have put your car up for the entire community to see with performance and testing. This has been a big help to many in getting the real deal info on whats going on.
Really look forward to seeing you back on AR with the S6. Its a very exciting car and in the right hands it can be one of the more epic Audi performance cars out there.
Performance wise its kinda a step sideways as I think a stage 2+ car or a stage 3 car leaves off just a bit faster then the stock S6 but I think a modded S6 should be much faster in the log run then a stage whatever b8 s4

I’ll bet someone will make some power out of it…
it’s hard to see the motivation. When the APR tuned 1320 guys who run their cars in street form are catching the traps of the 1740 guys with no seats and exhaust, it’s hard to see where the delta will be. Unless you hire another tuner…and again who wants to tune the thing? “Sure let me make my competitor’s parts look good” is something I don’t hear too many business people saying.
It will also be interesting to see if APR makes you pay $1500 to flash their tune to your car in order to use a second hand supercharger kit. That will be fun to watch.
If someone pays $9000 for a blower, then sells it for say $6,000 (they hope) but the buyer then has to install it…and pay $1500 to tune it…that’s going to be the worst deal ever for the used buyer.
I don’t think he’ll mind me sharing… Richi was kind enough to reach out to me in advance of listing his blower… I will not be purchasing the blower from him even though the price was/is very fair. I’m going in a different direction with the car… I’ll leave it at that for now… Needless to say I’m very excited about some things and we’ll see how they play out in the spring…
Serious question: what if you put the blower on a stage 2 car without retuning it?
It probably wouldn’t even idle…is this a serious question? If so, it all makes sense now.
The biggest issue would be that it has a different throttle body, and wouldn’t run without a corresponding tune.
