Playoff hockey at its best. Now some will say sloppy defense, too much scoring opps, blah, blah, blah. They would be correct, but the hawks are best when the game is free flowing end to end. Hell, even J.R. made mention of getting back to closer 2-1 game style. F that. They do need to tighten up and the B’s will regain better form. But from a spectator/fan that was a very exciting and enjoyable game to watch.

The bruins know a thing or two about coming back. Also chicago knows a thing or two about letting their opponent up off the mat. I still think it’s going seven. 3-2 always feels like imminent knockout coming in game 6 but if a team is good enough to game six, they’re usually strong enough to get to game seven. Seems like series end at 5 or 7…but 6 usually feels like a warmup act delaying the inevitable game 7.

I agree. This season started with fans turned off by the lockout - and it ends with record-high ratings on NBC. I think this series did wonders for the NHL’s standing - I will definitely be following hockey more closely going forward. The playoffs were exceptional this year.

Good to see them win. Kane is a very worthy Conn Smythe winner. In reality it could have gone to any of half a dozen guys, including Tukka Rask for his play up until the last 3 games.
