LA doesnt have the horses to keep up. Should get run out of the arena…BUT, Quick is damn good and will keep this interesting…or rather Crawford will :-\
Will play out b4 our eyes, but I just don’t think LA can keep up. And they are horrible on the road (1-6).
Hawks have too much. Beat Detwau with no stars showing up. Basically only reason the series was as close as it was.
Won’t be the same in this series. Already got goals from Sharpe and Hossa. And Quick is good no doubt, but looks like Hawks already see how to beat him. Shoot high and/or crash net for pad save rebound chances.
Um ya, they had home ice in that series vs sharks, lol. Not the case in this one. Not sure of your point ??? Other than its not over til its over and the Hawks are better than the wings. That I agree with.
Just fun to dream when your home town team is dominating conference championship.
Right now, the Hawks are playing the Kings’ physical game, but with speed. LA was definitely not expecting the Hawks to come out of the gate playing as physical as they are (the Hawks are one of the softest teams in the NHL this year).
Kings will need to rethink their game plan if they plan on playing another game in Chicago. 1-7 road record not helping either.
That along with losing Richards, their top 2-way player to a concussion (clean hit by Bolland btw) and with Kopitar/I think Brown playing injured and not scoring like they did last year- it is making for a perfect storm for a great Hawks team so far. 3rd/4th line depth for them is so good right now.
Detroit series was a wake up call. Hope they keep up the intensity bc Kings are really good at home.
Off to the Cup Finals for the Hawks!!! Those two OT periods put unnecessary stress on my cardiovascular system, but it was awesome to see Kaner put the game winner past Quick for the hatty.
In fact once the conference finals were set I would have bet many Cokes that it would be pitt/la
I’m also thinking…the leafs had a 4-1 lead in game seven half way through the third period on Boston… And two weeks later Boston is playing Chicago for the cup. I bet some detroit fans are thinking something similar about Chicago right now.
