Blackhawks LOVE triple overtime playoff games. Unbelievable.
Man…these games are starting too late lol. Anyways, that’s the first time I’ve watched Anaheim play (I’m not a huge NHL fan, and their games are never on national TV)…those guys are beasts. Maybe it was just a great run while I was watching, but kesler, getzlaf, perry…that team is stacked and they are HUGE.
^^ totally agree on both fronts. The games start too late, and Anaheim seems to tower over the Hawks.
I actually didn’t make it through the whole game - woke up in the middle of the night and checked the alert from my NHL app. Then I immediately turned on the NHL channel to watch the highlights. The headbutt non-goal in 2nd OT was pretty cool.
Yep. Feels a lot like the Kings series last year. Ducks are just as fast on skates as Hawks but dominant physically too. Gonna be a tough series to get through for sure.

Of course now that he has destroyed his car with his retarded suspension and 22" wheels etc. he’ll never even put the car on the strip again, so he peaks out at 11.28 @ 125. Nice time, but in -2800 feet of density altitude he’s basically middle of the pack for the top end superchargers…none of which ran in DA anywhere near that. He’d run maybe 11.5 @ 122 in 0 feet of DA. Way down the list.

Quenneville is an idiot for benching Vermette and Teravainen in game 3. They had been playing great and are very good possession guys. That 3rd line of Sharp-Vermette- Teravainen had been playing awesome. And played great tonight.
Why break it up? Versteeg and Nordstrom who were their replacements (to inject energy into team per Q) for game 3 were useless as much as their nightly 3rd dman pairing. Versteeg must have some naked pics of Q’s daughter or something.
Hawks are essentially playing with 4.5 dmen. The Ducks have definitely taken advantage of this. Home ice helps with the matchups. Cumiskey has not been noticeable which is a good thing while Timonen is a pylon. Useless and 150 years old. Slow and gets caught on every Ducks forecheck.
While we are on topic of useless … Add Bickell to list. Good for checking and that’s about it. Talk about getting paid for one great playoff run 2 yrs ago. He’s gone next year with their future cap issues when 88/19 monster contracts kick in. Sharpie unfortunately will be a goner also.
Hate to say it but as much as I have hated Rozsival all year, he ate up minutes and was a big body. They are definitely missing him right now.
Those heavy minutes 2-7, 4-27 are eating up are slowly being seen as the series progresses. Ulcer causing series for sure.
The Ducks can sure block shots. Perry is such a dirty pest and Kesler is still as much a dildo as he was for the Canucks.
Advanced stats show Hawks have had better possession stats for 3 of 4 games. Hope it continues.

It’s sad that Rockford can’t provide a 6th string NHL defenseman. Wish van Riemsdyk was ready. The rest of the d-corps can’t be expected to play all those minutes especially if these overtimes keep piling up. Fatigue will hurt them in the end.
