Stock S4 12.62@109?!!

M3 tires were finished it ran 12.9x@110 and 111 on some runs, TTRS didn’t run, 991 turbo S ran 10.83@124mph that day.

Welcome and those are great times.

By chance do you remember what the RS5 and S5 were running?

RS5 ran 12.3x@111-112 with no launch control activated should easily go 12.0-12.1 if not 11.9~

S5 is a manual my friend got it down too 13.0@105

Whoa get that RS5 driver on here! Was it stock?

Very nice!

What mods does the S5 have?

What s5…3.0t?4.2?

All of these times are quite quick.

S5 V8 it’s 100% stock as is the M3 as is the 991 turbo S (actually it just got chipped this morning)

They really don’t seem that fast i’ve seen a bunch of other S5s run 13.2 here, i’ve seen an M3 go 12.6 stock at this track as well, the Turbo S cab is almost running right on par with what it should be (autobild recorded a 10.83 too for a turbo S cab).

The track is a NHRA track and I am friends with the owner there is definitely no funny stuff going on with the time boards as he does hold the record for worlds fastest 4cyl at 6.44@216mph

Yeah, they’re all quick times.

You’re quicker by 2 tenths than any other B8 S4 DSG
The S5 is quicker by 2 tenths than any other B8 S5 4.2 FSI
The turbo S is quicker by 2 tenths as well than any
The RS5 without launch control quicker than any RS5 WITH launch control.

For perspective…that’s 4 stock cars (including yours) that ran…and all 4 ran world records for their respective platforms.

So yes, it’s quick lol.

My car is DSG, B8s are slower than b8.5s 13s+ with new gearing every 10-12 owner that has been in my car says this car is a good chunk faster than a B8.

S5 that I’m suprised by?? Really so that’s the fastest S5? It was a bit of a challenge that car wouldn’t break 13.4 for the longest time and would overheat the clutch but found the sweet spot and consistenly gets 13.0-13.1 now.

RS5 is ridiculously surprising because it really had a pretty bad run with a 1.95 60ft with no LC.

TTRS ran 12.4x@113 with a 0-60ft of 1.69s for reference but last spring not that day same track though.

I have yet too see a 991 turbo S cab in the 11.0+ alot of tests have them at 10.8-10.9 almost everywhere in european tests/mag shootouts and stateside mags. Road and Track just tested one 10.9@124.4 and we ran 10.83@124 pretty accurate too me.

I appreaciate all the info Sakimano on the times for each cars thanks a bunch!!

Looks like Napierville hooks pretty good you guys should all come down here for a meet and runs! Not too mention F1 weekend is coming up with endless Ferraris, Mclarens, Lambos, Porsches, Bugattis, partying more partying and girls, girls and more ridiculously hot girls.

the data does not bear that out. The stock DSG facelift cars are hampered by a repressed redline. So it’s actually slower in high end testing that we’ve seen. Note the other facelift B8 S4 that ran the same week as you, in 200 feet of DA (900 better than you). He ran 13.1 as his best.

Yes that’s the stock record BY FAR. Before this I believe it was 13.3-13.4. Driver in Jersey who went in -1200 feet dA. I don’t have him on the list because I don’t have his slips but he’s on a5oc

sounds like you’re catching on…

wow there’s another one. So 5 out of 5 cars and all 5 have set their respective stock records.

Now do you see what I’m talking about?

I’m not saying you’re not telling the truth. I’m not saying it’s not a legit track. I’m just saying that it’s a very fast track. Just as PBIR seems to always produce records.

Can you get me timeslips (2 of each) from the other guys?

Hmmm… Interesting…

Here was my best stock, for reference DA was 1642, June 30th 2010 at 5:40PM Thompson Raceway Park…

60ft - 1.8512
330ft - 5.3891
1/8 ET - 8.2743
1/8 MPH - 85.51
1000 ET - 10.7545
1/4 ET - 12.8513
1/4 MPH - 108.44

I’m just surprised it was done in a B8.5 as all the results I’ve seen and based on gearing calculations it’s slower car stock vs stock…

Was that TTRS you mentioned stock or tuned? That’s a very very impressive trap speed if it was stock! I only trapped 109-110 stock, heck I only trapped 114-115 tuned on 93 and 117+ tuned on 93 tune with some GT260 in the tank… Definetly a fast track that’s for sure, can’t imagine the numbers that could be put up on a negative DA day… Track sounds like PBIR or Cecil… Any vids you can share?

cabriolet? at a certified dragstrip? Let’s see it…

TTRS was not stock not sure if I mentioned that sorry but NO tune just 034 downpipe that’s it, no intake, no other mods. RS5 had his resonators taken out but I’m pretty sure he ran that time with them back in after the cops pulled us over a gave us a ticket for too loud of an exhaust a couple weeks earlier.

Not sure why you guys think a B8 would be faster on the 1/4 with longer gearing? B8.5 S4 has shorter gearing = better 1/4 mile times.

Have some vids i’ll post them up but gopro died so only Iphone/Note3 quality videos.
991 Turbo S Cab, B8.5 S4, M3, TTRS is in the back hiding from the 991 turbo S lol.

I think I upload this video right sorry for the quality as said gopro was out of battery from the highway runs. This is the 10.84 run not the 10.83 even though its practically the same.

Thought the gearing was shorter on B8.5s not just a lower redline my bad thanks for the pointing that out prime.

shuster - any and all vids you can post would be great!
