Has anyone tried to do a burnout with the stronic? I’m having a lot of traction issues with the colder weather and think I might give it a try at the strip tomorrow.
Any tips?

Your better off adjusting your tire pressure downward to get a larger contact patch so you don’t spin… If you watch my vids from last weekend I spun the first run bad and slightly the second run… I kept going lower on tire pressure… How cold is it going to be for you Sat.? I am looking at high 40’s and low 50’s so I should be fine running 34-38 in the fronts and 30-34 in the rears… If you spin drop a few psi… I don’t see you being able to do a burnout per say but you could launch hard prerun if your track has the room and see if you spin… this little spin could give you enough heat so you don’t spin on the actual launch… Lot of us hitting the track Sat. you guys, the NJ guys, the Chitown guys… I got a new HD camera and will have some good out of car vids… Can’t wait!
^^Probably be low to mid 40’s. I will try to adjust tire pressure but I do remember that ilspazzaneve did a little burnout before each of his runs.
Can’t wait to see your video…If Sak comes I should have a few myself…Good Luck to all!
Yeah… just went on that other site and watched his vids again… he is just doing a launch… wonder if he rolled through the water box and got the tires a little wet allowing for some spin? I doubt they are getting heated much at all… You could try that but it may cause some issues with the finicky dsg? His car is weird as he doesn’t appear to have the 3800RPM hangup but he short shifts 1st consistenly…
Come on Saki hit the track and tape us slow B8 guys ;D Looking forward to seeing the various results from all as well… I believe Kavan will be at the track with you? I am hoping for a 11.8x but will see… tune isn’t dumping boost like it did last weekend so if I shift ok I think it is realistic… good luck bud! later Ron
Unless you are running drag radials or slicks, especially on an AWD car I wouldn’t bother with doing a burnout. Most AWD cars just avoid the water box as they usually run street tires.
Listen to the primetime, it’s all about tire pressure and launch rpm.
