I’m starting to plan my stereo upgrade for my 02 avant and I dont know if it has the Bose stereo or not. The HU says symphony on it but the speaker grills say Bose and it has the Bose sub. It has a 6 disc in dash changer. I’m just a little confused. It’s pretty anemic sounding. Not looking for it to bump but want a nice clean full sound. I was surprised because my mom has a 97 infinity and the Bose system in it sounds good still.
Also and suggestions for set up of components is appreciated.
Forgot I have the original window sticker. It does have a Bose stereo which is surprisingly pathetic.
What have you guys done for upgrades? Also pics of you radios installed would be awesome. I have a nakamachi radio and a single din 6 disc changer, I wonder if I could install that. It was for the Porsche but would probably look good in an Audi too.
I ripped out all the stock stuff. Pioneer DVD HU, hertz hsk component speakers, jl 10w6v2 sub and 500/1 amp.

Looks great in person, most people assume it’s oem.
I was really unhappy with the stock stereo. If you want to stick with OEM, then get the symphony 2+ or the rns-e and do aftermarket speakers and sub. You can make the stock system sound alright but it’s probably easier to go aftermarket and make it sound way better.
I dont know about that. I have the stock BOSS and I get people attention all the time with their crap
blasting all loud and sounding like its going to blow the trunk lid off.
