What stopping someone from using a 4.2l supercharger kit and a little fab work, and putting it on a 5.2? What issues would I run into?
Contact JHM
I think the JHM contact Email is V10@jhmotorsports.com
They already started work on the kit for the 5.2 But they needed to wait for the platform to grow and JHM invests in each platform as the customer base buys more and more.
Jhm puts more money back into the platform.
There is a picture on here of a JHM kit mocked up on a S6 looked really good and the kit had been proven tho already be a really powerful way to go
the issue is it needs to make sense dollars and cents wise for JHM to produce the kit.
headers, SC and e85…yum. if these motors are indeed built similarly to the LP gallardos/huracans, they should be able to handle 800whp as long as torque is kept linear and smooth. trans will be the weak point but to me, thats a good problem to have as long as these motors are making power. power = eyes on the platform = money invested into the v10 program
Super old picture. I was able to get from the old site.
From what I remember the 5.2 blower will be even bigger than the 4.2 blower and the 4.2 blower on the JHM kit was good for 134mph on mild boost. A very consistent kit with tons of power. I know they were trying to hold back the power on the 4.2. They did everything to choak off the blower and the kits still made 440whp
Love the auto tensioner on the kit. That is something you don’t see very often. Really a great idea shows JHMs commitment to making a really great kit.
Im sure we are going to struggle to limit power on the 5.2 as well. The VF 5.2 kit for the Huracan makes 700whp on 91 octane and trap 140-141…and those TVS units are not as efficient as the Vortech’s JHM uses. Also the TVS slams it with torque from the jump which feels nice to the driver but not to the factory rods. Im sure the linear power of the Vortech unit will allow us to ramp power in and make more peak power without stressing the factory rods as well as the trans.
PREACH… good point. and since the TVS units tend to loose a bit of steam and take a ton of power to push uptop the 5.2 should be able to really scream with a Vorech
