Supping air on throttle blip

Hi all, recently purchased a 07 S6 , I have noticed that when I blip the throttle, it takes a loud sup of air from below the throttle body, before the revs rise.only a split second. Any ideas?

I would have to hear this noise. But since the intake manifold is over 3 feet long you might just be hearing the actual whoosh of incoming air before the combustion events start happening at a faster pace.

I would add that with the stock exhaust it’s more noticeable because there is a delay between the time you hear it and then hear the exhaust. Once i had the JHM exhaust installed, that delay became almost non existent, and that sound much harder to notice. I did spend a few hours looking for an intake leak when i first hear it, never found one.

ignore the hoses, the guy who had it before me was a butcher, I am going to replace all hoses
when I remove the intake manifold, carbon clean and replace the injectors. your thoughts.
If anything needs dealing with I would do it while I have the access and obviously I cannot hear the sound when the engine is apart.

See video above for the supping sound, thanks in advance.

Yes that is 100% the whoosh of air. Your going from almost no volume of air… the restriction into the motor is the throttle bodies Your moving the throttle bodies and the vacuum of the motor is less restricted and your hearing the whoosh of all that air getting sucked past the throttle bodies into the intake.
