Perhaps it’d be best to gather the members that are experiencing issues and have them all make threads here. Each member can post his year, make, options and tune with tune code revision and ecu part number.
Doing this should help in reducing the variables and if all goes well exposing the issue or issues.
I don’t have a thread. I’d like to get a full grasp as to what is happening before I make a full post, or jump to any conclusions. I am planning on doing some more logging tonight with gas from a different station, and then again later this week with a different intake (have APR tube/AWE filter with stock air box now, but have a CTS intake ready to go on if they ever send me the hardware needed to finish the install…). That will rule out two possible issues based on what we have seen in the logs so far.
Once I have the above done, I’ll post a thread with all the relevant details and logs. As much as these problems suck, I have actually enjoyed doing the logging and troubleshooting, and really learning more about the car and how it works- I will add that logging/reading logs is something I did on a daily basis as an Apps Engineer and Tech Support Manager, and it’s nice to do it on something I actually enjoy working on.
Swank has had his account suspended before, has made a couple of off color remarks and pissed off a shit ton of vendors. The eurocode guys truly detest him after all his nonsense about how they weld their sway bars lol. He is also guilty of being a know-it-all and being wrong on more than one occasion (Ron’s paddles for instance) without admitting fault (most on message boards don’t).
But he was always active, helped a lot more people than most on AZ combined and made AZ a better place to post. It’s pretty clear to see how AZ is run by vendors, eventually they’ll probably end up like AW.
Hopefully he comes over here, way too much Audi tuner rage to just turn around and go back to his apple and tennis forums :o.
