I imagine if you guys put $100,000 into your B8 S4s you could also run something pretty excellent though, so we will have to temper our enthusiasm for tuned RS7 results with the reality that these are supercars with 4 doors.

Arin posted somewhere that they had set 3 ‘world records’…whatever that means. Not sure if it’s 3 records for the RS7, or records for 3 different platforms. I believe they hinted they were taking his car out soon, so that could be one. They said the same about the R8 4.2, so that could be the 3rd? Not sure what the R8 record is but it’s definitely 10 something (we have an R8 5.2 on our list that went 10.X with bolt ons and there are a couple in England that trap comfortably in the 130s)

I’m guessing:

S5 V8 Stage 3, R8 V8 Stage 3, and RS7 Stage 1 93.

RS7 went 10.6.

The RS7 is basically as fast as a 2014 GTR, 2014 991 Turbo, and probably almost as quick as the upcoming Z06. All of which are 120k+ Supercars.

Pretty wild because you can get into an RS7 with a Stage 1 tune for under 120k and match these supercars performance in a straight line.

And agreeing with you on the fact that’s it’s basically a 4 door supercar.

bigger engine, twin turbos…and same power. But it ran 12.2 @ 115 or something. Tuned and exhaust and intake and they run 11.6 @ 124-125…and are supposedly making 700 hp.

The stock RS7 is doing that nearly. Tuned is obliterating that. Yet the numbers line up. Makes no sense.

I think that is a safe bet…my question is why…if you take the s5 r8 and rs7 and add up the production numbers of all three…its a fraction of the b8 s4…why keep getting these other cars to market when the real momey is in the b8 s4…

Very simple…there’s competition for the RS5, R8 and S5. So there’s a bit of a rush to pick the low hanging fruit.

There’s absolutely nothing available for the B8 S4 and it would seem there won’t be for a long while

With that being said I believe they tested the B8 S4 today. Just my guess.
